Yes, but it was still a Night Ability on a target who was no longer alive at night. So you had no target to do a kill on at night. If you're fine with that, great.

Uh, I dunno what you mean by if the lines are separate, but in any case how it works is (assuming you want to use it):

Night 8 - you say, ie, I want to setup a kill on Prazec Goul (assuming he is on your team)
Night 9 - you kill Prazec Goul

but if one of the 3 conditions is fulfilled, instead of killing Prazec Goul you either kill someone else, nothing happens or you get a day kill.
