The reason the bricks and mortar shops sometimes get it early, is that the publishers probably send it out a few days/weeks in advance, to allow the stores to get things like dispalys ready, and to allow for delays in shipping. But then some shops, get twitchy and put it on the shelves before the official release date.

Whereas with electronic sources, they can hold off on release until exactly 12:01am and then it is available for download.

I'll be checking all 3 local bookstores on tuesday to see if it's in early.

What Binder says. I live in Germany at the moment, where bookshops, although they obviously have a limited range of English books, do apparently live in no fear whatsoever on breaking street date on relatively major releases.

Rothfuss gives 5 stars to everything, but I still enjoyed reading that. I knew he loved the series but I didn't know that he liked it even more than Discworld.

Speaking of release dates anyone know if this is released in UK at 00:01 or a worldwide release date, so midnight in America? I'm in China so I need to know when I have to turn on my kindle and hunt for WiFi!

After Publisher's Weekly strange review here is a long review. its very positive but looks like have heavy spoilers. Dont mind spoilers much but this close i skipped most of the review

Last parag. starts with "CONCLUSION: Epic, simply epic is the adjective I would use to describe Skin Game, ......."
