"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Huh. Can you give me like a one or two sentence overview of what that series is about?

Red-haired man with inexplicable braid-tugging harem saves the world from Sauron 2.0, plus many leatherleaf trees.

Arms are always crossed UNDERNEATH breasts. Apparently that's important.

Ageless pillow friends are spanked.
“The others followed, and found themselves in a small, stuffy basement, which would have been damp, smelly, close, and dark, were it not, in fact, well-lit, which prevented it from being dark.”

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. Also, sniffing. Lots of sniffing.

Audible has a big 'get book 1 of a series cheap' sale on. There is some solid f/sf stuff for $5.95 or so, including GotM as it happens and a bunch of other series that are frequently mentioned elsethread.
Keep in mind you can join for free, max out the sale and just not renew if you don`t want to pay for an ongoing membership - you still keep the books (and if you don`t want to be slaved to audible`s app there are ways to convert their earbooks to mp3).
