This was the last PS update, so we have about 10 hours left. I definitely won't be around for time-out. I'll be dropping a vote in about 2 hours and then logging for the night.

Oh and,

Vote Galain

because I'm curious to see if this will even show up in the vote count or not.

And thread is dead. I don't think there's much else I can say, the entire case on me is naught but made-up speculation based on extreme conjecture. Nothing I can say but "No, you're wrong." and obviously that means nothing.

That being said, you kind of did get shafted by the fact that spite defended you so much. Either he's an awful symp, or a great one... Regardless, I don't see how we get away from this and your lynch gives us a ton of info and great direction for tomorrow depending on your CF.

vote Liosan

Ok, now that Lio has posted and basically said nothing i feel ok dropping the vote and leaving. I'll be back in 16-17 hours.

Nono, I did actually read up (hence the time differences), but there just doesn't seem to be anything concrete I can address.

Holy explosion batman! Reading up (a bit skimmingly, I'll admit) now. Seems like people are taking my grilling PS on action orders to be some sort of weird implication I think I got reflected on. It isn't - I just hate stupid Dr Evil games where the mechanics are just thrown together and there's no sense to how they are resolved. If I'm going to play a game, I want to understand it, and after getting a "chi blocker" CF with no explanation, I'm not confident that the mods have any sort of concrete notion of explaining anything to us, rather than assuming we have all memorized the entirety of this anime show.

Heh. You know, reading that, I would probably have shrugged my shoulders and said "ok, now what".

But not now. Spite's nuclear explosion because of a single vote on a slight case leaves me with the distinct impression that he knows who you are and that your survival is more important than his. And I think enough people have that impression that the best you can hope for is a no lynch. A swing to Spite makes no sense because the only reason to lynch him would be his defense of you. Which leads right back to you are more important than him. No reason to swing.

A swing to me? That's possible. But it's a 2 for 1 thing. A lynch of me gives a non equalist CF leaving both you and Spite alive.

If we lynch you and you CF equalist Spite is a lock for speed lynch. If you CF non-equalist, I'm the speed lynch. Either way, all 3 of us are out of play and the remainder can go where the CFs lead.

And that all assumes that Liosan, Spite, and myself make it through the night.

Spite has made you the flavour of the day.

And this pretty much puts a vacuum seal on you to remain the flavour of the day:

I have to apologize, my reading catch up was very cursory because I've been absolutely slammed at work. I will do a more thorough read up tonight after work.

My initial impressions on what I did catch was that people seem to be awfully sure and pushy (Spite/Lio/Galain) on a day 2 of a faction game. Yes, it is mostly town vs. scum, but there still are different VC's that are in play. My suspicions ran in 3 directions as I read. 1) They have information/figured something out that I don't see. 2) They are possibly these break-off independent VC roles, and their actions are in line with that. 3) Just aggressive day 2 play, which may boil down to creating more reactions and information on thread - not necessarily a bad thing.

As for the accusation leveled at me by Osseric:

After the CF of Ruse and subsequent (apparent) vig of Olar Ethil, I became interested in those who were keen to push Olar Ethil as possible scum on day 1, thinking that scum might have conceded that Ruse would be lynched and tried to push the blame off onto a townie day 2. Of course, the only reason we know OE is town is because he was vigged. As far as vigs go, that wasn't a bad one in my opinion, because it immediately removed a distraction since it isn't far fetched to think OE would have been a prime lynch target today. Too bad he wasn't scum, but still, not entirely a loss.

With this in mind, Kaschan's comment was what stood out to me. There were a couple others, like from Emurlahn for instance, but it was Kaschan's who I quirked an eyebrow at that. It was a suspicion, nothing more and I lay a vote because it wasnt much to go on. The responses since then have made me discard that idea, so never mind.

You're portraying it skewed by putting the hypothetical cases of you being a non-equalist CF and me being an equalist CF. Really it is:

If you are lynched today and we get a non-equalist CF, I'm the speed lynch tomorrow.
If I am lynched today and it is a non-equalist CF, you're the speed lynch tomorrow.

ie equal weighting for either lynch.

^^and further to that, there is no "swing" that you are talking about - we're at equal / 1 vote difference

The good thing is we can draw some good conclusions from this as people are definitely polarized on this issue.

I am leaning towards a Liosan lynch

I think we get the most out of his lynch. If he comes back equalist we can look real close at Spite and Fener. If he comes back non equalist we can look hard at Galain and to a lesser extent, Tennes. Either way, we get a ton of info off of one lynch. There are still around 12 hours left I think. I'll double check, but if thats the case I won't be around for lynch resolution as it will be 3 am my time. But I am gonna hold my vote for a few more hours in hopes of more info/posts.

When did i get lumped in with Spite and Lio? lol

I think both Lio and Tulas are pretty dodgy right now, I'd be happy with lynching either of them.

Fair point. I know I'm not equalist, so why should I even admit the possibility exists? :)

Hmm. I was being more of a possibility of swinging to someone other than either of us, Spite for example.

But the way I count it is:

1 Vote Liosan : Galain, Tennes, Atrahal. Osseric
1 Vote Galain : Spite, Tulas Shorn, Liosan (doesn't count?)
1 Vote Spite: Karosis (doesn't count?)
1 Vote Tulas Shorn: Fener

Players not voted: Ampelas, Anomandaris, Emurlahn, Kaschan, Silanah,

That puts it 4 for you and 2 for me. With one for Tulas

Unless you're admitting that your vote will count??????

No clue Fener. But may I suggest that your happiness is likely only going to be increased by voting Lio?

I'll be around to chat a bit longer before going to bed, no worries. But a lio lynch is definitely more probable right now than Tulas.

@Fener, I thought you were easier to lump in with Galain than Spite and Lio...

Lio is the most likely lynch today and gives some good info and leads no matter his CF. So I'm content voting for him.

Vote Liosan

@Karosis and Liosan. Both of you have voted, but neither were counted, so even though it shows nothing other than that there is likely another chi blocker, or at least an ability that can block votes, out there, every little piece of knowledge helps.

Going to bed now. Will not be back in time before day times out, but maybe another mod will be. If not, I will resolve lynch when I get to work (bout 3 hours into night) and then resolve night if I have all NAs.
