That's always a no-no... And can lead to Modkill.

Ooh, I can answer this one sir! Because of the lynch scene.

Jesus fuck, Tennes, I got the inkling when catching up yesterday that you were the scum master and had prodded Galain into motion for you somehow, but couldn't find any post I felt could be such a prod, so set it aside. You sure were scummy as hell yesterday, especially how you went back and forth on the "chi block could be vote block and guard / it could only be one and we shouldn't assume the other" between posts in order to justify the lynch train.

And you your argument is that we should listen to a scene that says "(Please note the characters in the scene are used for flavour purposes only, and do not indicate who may or may not have been on the lynch train)" after it?

Oh and you straw-man Karosis' post on being Incapacitated when he definitely did NOT say he was guarded by it?

You sir are motherfucking scummy as hell

Well it wasn't posted in this game...

and regardless, you guys were bringing up the content of PMs as an excuse to lynch me. Pretty sure I have the justification to defend myself by countering it the same.

Officer Song had received a tip that Hiroshi Sato was a member of the Equalists. Though putting little stock in these rumours, he took a team of Republic City metal bending police and a few members of the United Forces with him to search Mr. Sato's several estates. Unfortunately, they were not able to turn up any concrete proof that he was an Equalist. As they were leaving his mansion, however, they were attacked by a small squad of Equalists, Amon rumoured to be among them. A few people on each side of the fight were injured, and though he fought valiantly, Officer Song was killed in action. Upon examination of his corpse at a later time, Chief Beifong surmised that he was most likely hit by a stray fire bending by the United Forces.

Olar Ethil is dead. He was Officer Song of the Republic City faction and Mentalist.

So there you go. we KNOW that olar was killed by friendly fire. Probably someone with a vig that assumed Olar was in cahoots with Ruse. (But thats just speculation). So my facts are all still valid. There have been NO equalist NK's.

So now you have voted Galain and Me and accused Tennes of being "Scummy as Hell". So are we all scum..or are you just grasping at whatever straws you can to try and get out of this.

According to wikipedia, one of the top guys in the Equalists is a corrupt politician in the republic city government. I don't know the show at all, but I could easily seeing an equalist killer being a seemingly normal policeman and doing their killings as stray shots or whatever. Makes sense to me given that the scum are some sort of hidden resistance movement thing trying to overthrow the government.

Don't be an idiot. If you were getting strung up for stupid as fuck reasons because of some inexplicable shit that some other player did, and the supposed justification was a scene that said after it that it was literally not to be used as such, you'd make the exact same logical defense. If Tennes is gonna say:

You're right, Liosan, I apologise, I did say lynch scene when in fact I meant night scene.

Which of course was obvious because we were talking about Olar Ethil, so really you're coming up with something from a quibble :)

Here's you flip-flopping on the Vote Block also equals Guard:

First you cast doubt on Tulas, implying you don't agree with assuming any such thing:

View PostTennes, on 19 December 2012 - 10:27 PM, said:

View PostTulas Shorn, on 19 December 2012 - 10:14 PM, said:

I've noticed that Tennes is backing up Galain pretty strongly. Moreover, being vote blocked implies having bending ability, a fact that makes Liosan less likely to be an equalist (unless Amon has bending ability. But I doubt that Amon would be acting as Liosan would be and doubt Amon could be vote blocked). Galain is committed to the attack on Liosan (backing off would look suspicious), but I suspect the reasons for the attack was trying to direct the thread toward someone not on his equalist team.

Vote Galain

? Not sure how being vote blocked implies a bending ability?

Then your next comment is to agree with Fener that they go together, and that apparently you were thinking this all along:

Not gonna lie, the severity of Spite's response to the pressure on Lio (which hasn't even translated to votes really) seems a bit dodgy.

I feel like either Galain or Spite or Lio is an equalist.

Agreed.

Interesting that Karosis has come back saying his action failed - because his target had some kind of protection, or was it part of the vote block ability? If the same is true for Liosan, then I would side with it being part of the vote block ability I think.

If it's part of the vote block ability, then could that be connected to the lack of a scum NK?

Yeah, see, that's what I was thinking. That's the part which makes me suspect Lio most. Karo less so because he's been quite up front about it while Lio has so far had exactly one word on the matter and then proceeded to have a go at PS.

---

As for strawmanning karosis, I'll let him deal with that but I dare you to go find anywhere where he said he was guarded or that his NA(s) failed.

Lio, that first one of mine you quoted in the convo with Tulas has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with talking about guarding and vote blocking. Tulas seemed to be arguing that vote blocking could only happen against benders.

The two things contradict each other because they're not talking about the same thing :) That's a ridiculous argument.

Genties and Ladlemen,

For your entertainment today we have a wonderful group performing tragifarce at its best. Without further introduction I give you The Equalists!

Posted Image

Amon, possessing bravery to challenge the ModGods themselves

Posted Image

Spite, simpering, symping, stuttering, and spitting.

Posted Image

And Tulas Shorn. Sage, all knowing....uh, oh, that's him in the corner behind that curtain. Appears to be crying. And mumbling something about 'amateurs'.

As the play unfolds, feel free to use those buttons in front of you to indicate your vote for best performance. We will tally them up and give you the results before the end of the show.

I know my vote is only symbolic, but I simply feel the performance is worth the vote of everyone watching.

Here Karosis says that his action also failed. Not definitive proof that it's connected to the vote blocking, but I never said it was. The suspicion is there that it could be though.

First off, apologies for my absence yesterday, work was nuts and by the time I got home the day had timed out. And I suspect today will be much the same.

From where I'm standing, it looks like Lio is scrambling big time. He's picking at small phrasings, terminology and honest mistakes in an effort to discredit his attackers. I'd rather not have a repeat of yesterday, so whilie I have the time I will

Vote Liosan.

This doesn't fly either. In the show all policemen are metal benders. Chi blockers can't bend.

Oooooh, this might just be one of the most unconvincing reveals ever, way up there with Ruse's day one...

If you are Korra, what actions have you taken? What abilities do you have? You are going to have to share more than this to convince us.

Lol, if you hadn't scrambled so badly at trying to find holes where there are none, I might have almost been tempted to back off a bit. This just smells like a desperate fake reveal all over.
