I still love those Republic Destroyers though, and the big canons/bass used in the score as they're flying past them.
I've been listening to the soundtrack for Sith in the car; it's one of the best. Anakins Dark Deeds, the Betrayal, and Battle of the Heroes - just brilliant.

From the Vanity Fair spread, a bunch of new info and images...including our first look at both Laura Dern's character, and Benicia Del Toro's (not Thrawn).
Dern is pretty much who/what I assumed she would be. A Republic foil to Leia's "crazy" Resistance General.

As much as I loved TFA, these are ALL solid, solid story ideas that would have suited the narrative and made it better.

According to Deadline, Rian Johnson (considering he's not had any issues with production of his SW film) is the frontrunner to replace Colin Trevorrow for IX.
Though that like means he needs to script it, which might push its release date depending on his post-Prod duties on TLJ.
I can't weigh in on this till I see TLJ...and because I only moderately liked BRICK and found LOOPER middling but very flawed...but it's probably a better choice than trying to bring back JJ.

JJ Abrams officially replacing Trevorrow on Episode IX as writer (with Chris Terrio) and director.
I like TFA enough to be excited for the choice...and frankly as long as he doesnt push too close to the OT, this should be a solid solid choice to finish out this trilogy. If it can't be Rian, I'm glad for JJ.
