Yes that is what I am trying to do as terran we can move a unit 3 times, or in this case one unit once and another unit twice. Both of our units are now pinned and are unable to move.

Well this is more or less my game. I was hoping to go the peaceful nerd route with what I was given but if I lose my homeland or not take the hex where the Ancient is located my game is over anyway so.

I was even thinking of adding another Ion cannon to my Dreadnaught but even with a victory in each hex I don't think I would have been able to afford one more upgrade.

In that case, I'll take a reaction and move my third cruiser into twelves homesystem, assume that's inserted between his upgrade and pass, so he has the option to make another move if he wants rather than pass.
Re odds, if i hadn't moved my final cruiser in your odds would have been pretty favourable to beat me in your homeworld, putting an extra ion cannon on your dread would have just compromised your chances of beating the ancient I think, you would have a higher chance at beating me, but also a higher chance of losing to the ancient, so building the starbase was your best move in my opinion (it's what I would have done).

Well all I can do now is upgrade and I don't think any of my available upgrades will help me in this situation so I'll stick with the pass.

Kill the fighter, don't bother asking about retreats I'm in to the death in this one.
If I lose a ship this round ask me about retreats in the other combat when I have two hulls left, otherwise that one is to the death also.
