What no one has an opinion?
Well if I'm taking over then move Dreadnaught and Interceptor to 2D, I think. That is the one with the ancient on it correct?
Can I get an updated player board posted so I know where I'm coming in at? That would help a lot.
Thanks

Your player board a few pages back should be current up to your new order. That i'll add when I get home tonight. There'll be overtime though, so be patient

Can someone double check this for accuracy. I think my current totals are:
Money: 2
Science: 6
Materials: 3
Upkeep after moving the ships is now -2
So a few more questions. It looks like I have a Pluon Shield but it has an energy use of 2. Does this mean I have to upgrade my energy source in all my ships before I can upgrade the shields on those ships? I'm a bit confused how to read the ship blueprints.
Also as of right now my current production for the 3 resources are as follows
Money: 6
Science: 4+5=9
Materials: 3
Are these totals correct?
If I have to upgrade my power source before I can upgrade my shields then I think I may want to change my orders. Since STD hasn't gone is that allowed?

So what is the story with the empty fields on the ship blueprints? Are there restrictions as to what we can put in those fields?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

You've got plenty of money left compared to your ratio, so I wouldn't worry about changing your action. You can upgrade on a later action in this round if you want.
You can only put the Phase Shield part on one ship, but correct you don't have enough power for it yet.
"Sources" are the parts with the big lightning symbol and a number - they give you power. Anything that has the little lightning symbol in the corner with a number consumes that much power. Power produced must be greater than or equal to power consumed.
So, ie, your Cruiser has a Fusion Source that produces 3 (the middle part in it) and it has an ion cannon at the top and an engine in the bottom right that each consume 1 power. 3 produced is greater than 2 consumed, so it is legal.
If you wanted to put your phase shield on something, you could add another Fusion Source to it. ie, cover the blank spot in the dreadnaught with a Fusion Source, and a hull spot with your phase shield. Then Power Produced = 6 (2x Fusion Sources) and Power Consumed = 5 (2x Ion cannon, 1x Engine, 1x Phase Shield = 2x1+1+1x2).

Partially answered above, but to elaborate more:
Blank slots are no different from the others, in that you can put any ship parts on top of what is already printed on your player board, whether it be a blank or not. (But you can't put ship part tiles on top of other ship part tiles, only on top of what is printed - you have to replace tiles instead of stacking them)
Basic Ship Parts (+3 Source, 1-Hex Engine, Yellow 1xDice Cannon, +1 Computer, +1 Hull):
-You always have access to
-You can place as many as you want
Advanced Ship Parts:
-You have to research their associated tech first
-You can place as many as you want
Discovery Tile Ship Parts
-You have to acquire them via Discovery Tile and choose to take them instead of the 2VP
-When you get the Discovery Tile you can place them immediately for free, or keep them and place them later with the UPGrade action
-You can only place them in one slot
-You cannot move them to other slots after they are placed, but you can remove them
In all cases:
-when you do the UPG action, you can remove as many ship part tiles as you want, and then place X ship parts tiles on your blueprints (where X is the number of icons above the UPG circle on your board)
-the orientation doesn't matter (engines can be in front, cannons in the back, whatever)
-At the end of your UPG action, Interceptors, Cruisers and Dreadnaughts must have at least one Engine. Starbases must not have any Engines.
-At the end of your UPG action, Power Production must be greater than Power Consumption on all ship types

I might not check in for a while, so I'll put my action in now - I don't think STD is going to do anything that would drastically change my plans.
Hydrani >> MOVe dreadnaught from 2J to 1E. Take Traitor Card. End Diplomatic Relations with the Hegemony. Return the ambassador cube to the science track.

Oh, for some reason I was thinking IH was after Ment/CF/twelve.
Right, well I'll research Advanced Labs please. Costs me 10, which I will pay with 8 science and 4 money.
Having done that, I will settle the two Advanced Science Planets in my territories.
New Totals:
Money: 3
Materials: 6
Science: 0
Upkeep: -5

Well, you do get an immediate chance to respond.
It's an interesting decision. Given how much D'rek has been fretting about the Planta I'm surprised that she went after you. I was actually expecting her to leave you to go after the Galactic Centre and attack me. But I guess maybe she wants a crack at the central cherry for herself?
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

Did I not warn you about the Hydran's? Didn't I?
What do you say now, Tapper? Regretting taking my tech now don't you? Shouldn't have messed with the Planta should you?
huh?
Huh?
Didn't think so.
Alas, D'rek posted after I had gone to bed and this morning was a little... rushed, so I'm afraid I wont be able to update the map and sheets until tonight.

Aren't both of your cruisers on the same tile? How can you move? Is it possible to move off of a location that has multiple ships of different owners even if you first moved onto it?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

D'rek only invaded with one ship, if I'm not mistaken. Since I have two in the system, I can move one according to the pin rule. (which says that I must leave at the least 1 ship there for each ship she put there). Which means my excess ship can be withdrawn.
