Ok, reread the last day.

Spite -> What info did/could an Assassin (mockra) have about another player? Are you operating under the impression that Assassins are finder/killers?
Galain -> Are you going to respond to the accusations against you, or just ignore them and hope they go away?
Korbas/Sorrit -> I'm still not understanding why you guys think there is a recruiting mechanic in game?

Don't know, every game is different. It was HIS interest that interested me. I thought the Batman had to do a find first, or he had something else limiting him from doing a kill every night.

I'm thinking they may have a limited number of vigs. If we started with 3 or 4 assassins, 3 or 4 NKs a night would have been too much. There has to be some type of limitation on them.

And why/how do you think Batman is related to this game?

Are you deliberately misreading everything on thread? Spite's point was that there could be a mechanic similar to the one in the Batman game. Although that's not strictly true, Batman did not have to do a find before he killed anyone. He could do something called 'stalk' (If I recall the name correctly) where he could stalk someone the first night, effectively doing a find on him, and then the kill the second night would cut through any defences and protections that target had. Spite was attempting to find an explanation for why Mockra jumped on Karosis so early in the game.

This kind of speculation, coupled with Spite's vote on Karosis, following Mockra's attack on him, makes me think that Spite is an assassin.

I dont remembrance a mockra attack on me. I though mockra may have identified a power player that we might also want to remove. I don't think Karosis is on my team AND a known assassin wanted him Lynched, so he may be someone to look at. Osseric's shaving habits STILL bother me, so I think he may be a good lynch.

Sorry, I meant Mockra's attack on Karosis, not on you.

I still think you're an assassin. It would also explain how you knew so definitely that Galain wasn't your leader.

I think we are better off with a culture hunt at this stage, but I'll be keeping my eye on you.

Our no voters were Karosis, Liosan, Meanas, sorrit and Osseric, and hammer was Meanas who wasn't completely out of the woods.

Karosis claimed he would vote if he had to, but never did. Liosan, Meanas and Osseric were all looking for alternate cases.

Just checking in before sleep. Nice lynch. Now we can start the scheming using tortured logic, unfounded accusations, blind leaping off tall buildings to fully erroneous conclusions. You know, Friday night at the roadhouse. Also known as a culture hunt.
Meanas looked at Osseric with one eye sorta closed so maybe he was winking. And Osseric is a member of Mockra's list of people that were suspicious, which means Korosis is a member of Spite's faction.
Best of all, with that wieird Batman reference, 3 bells, a fluorescent light bulb, and 2 fire crackers went off in my head causing me to yell like a Wookie. After switching the fluorescent out for a blue LED, I washed an Ambien down with 2 Pale Ales and discovered the source of our strange ineffective assassins.
  • Shin's a cheap bastard - he hired unemployed Imperial Storm Troopers figuring the clans would hear "Imperial" and not ask for references!!! Shear genius. Genius I say!
  • Now let's lynch the 14th poster unless his/her name starts with K. Then it should be the person with the same alt that won the 33rd mafia game.

The target was lying quietly on his pallet. The darkness within darkness moved closer and plunged a short blade into the figure’s neck.

The assassin within that darkness gave a short hiss of surprise at the sudden smell of rot that emerged from the body. A slow dark sludge of blood emerged where there should have been a fountain. The victim never made a sound, because he was already dead.

Korbas (Tattersail) is dead. He was Hannya, the assassin.

It is now Day 4, 30 hours are left.

12 players are left alive.

D'riss, Emurlahn, Fener, Karosis, Korvalain, Liosan, Meanas, Olar Ethil, Osseric, Sorrit, Spite, Tellan

7 votes to lynch, 6 to go to night.

So I'm absolutely baffled at the gameplay mechanics that would be involved here, but I thought Mockra had risen from the grave with the following post:

Mainly the bullet points. I do not recall anyone except Mockra using them, and now D'riss (who has not used them before) comes out with a bullet pointed list. I'm also baffled that you seem to be trying to Grandfather in anything Mockra said as being correct? Why would that be?

our first nk, and it was an assassin that was hit.

maybe only assassins can be killed off, though that feels wrong to me....

So seeing as Korbas was NK'd, and ended up being an assassin, I'm gonna go back to yesterday's lynch for information, seeing as I think it's high time we start a culture hunt! So one of the things that has my panties in a bunch is this:

 Karosis, on 25 September 2012 - 12:39 AM, said:

Wasn't able to post this weekend, so I'm glad that it was slow. I'd post some opinions now, but I will be waiting for the CF/to see if an extra vote is needed first.

Firstly, he said he'd be around to lay an extra vote if it was needed, but it wasn't him that hammered Galain, it was Meanas.

Secondly, he could have just laid the vote down. If it hadn't been needed, his vote would not have shown on the lynch list. If it was needed, then it would have.

I think Karosis was just trying to make it seem like he would vote Galain if it was necessary, but he didn't actually want to, so he made it seem like Meanas beat him to it, so as to lay the suspicion on Meanas rather than himself. So, I am thinking that Karosis is probably an Ouchi clan member.

Do we know if Captain would be the leader of a team? Gonna have to go look at some past games again, see if I can get some info there.

Alright, in Sengoku 2, the factions were made up of - Leader, General, Lieutenant, Spearman

In Sengoku 1, it was a town vs. scum game, so not very helpful.

Either way, no indication of where in the hierarchy a Captain would stand. If we're thinking teams of 4, I am thinking Captain might be just below a Leader, but above everyone else. But that's just instinct, there's no proof to back that up until we start finding some more faction folk with our lynches and kills.

So it would be nice if we could get some discussion on thread. What do people think of Karosis as our next lynch target? Anyone have any other suggestions?

I think if anyone's being obnoxious here, it's you. I mean, what kind of comment is "I would have gone with Karosis, but now that you want to try for him . no , thank you." It seems designed only to try to get a rise out of me, which, I'm sorry to disappoint, you'll not get. That kind of comment is certainly much more obnoxious than someone who is actually playing the game if you ask me.
