Well I have had a shit awful busy damned day at work today, and I'm too tired to do much tonight, so I'm going to lay my thoughts on the table and you can all discuss or ignore them.

Galain's cf was a 'Captain' which to me refers to a position of power. "Captain of the ship" "Captain of the football team" etc. so I assume he was a leader of some sort. Sometimes team members will hammer eachother, but I don't know if I would hammer my leader, so my thought is to focus on people that didn't vote him.

Meanas and Liosan both seemed to raise a big fuss, especially as the votes increased, so my first thought would be to look in their direction, however when I started looking at the post counts I was frankly surprised that Osseric is one of the top posters. Korv has had a lot to say, so I'm not surprised at all to see him at the top of the list, but Osseric really hasn't left any impression on me to steer my vote one way or another, so I started looking at his content. Almost complete fluff and post padding IMO.

This is going to be a faction game, so while there is lynching, there may not be night kills and there will be recruiting. There should be at least 2 faction leaders, and you typically get a pm telling you that you have been recruited to another team. Lady Bliss started the sign-up page so it is safe to assume she knew something concerning Shin's plan.

HOWEVER this conversation happened a day after Shin announced that he would run the game. So Bliss could have been fucking with my mind before it ever started.

For some reason I missed that the name count in lynch scenes ends when there are enough votes, regardless of the number of voters. At the lynch there were twelve hours and forty minutes left in the day. If I was on Galain's team, what does not voting him accomplish? With that much time left and no other cases being considered, there was no chance Galain survived. If anything, the better course for a teammate would have been to drop their vote immediately, knowing there would be an attempted culture hunt after a faction member was lynched.

Of course, anyone knowing for certain that he was on their team would mean that he was a leader. Not sure I buy that from his posting and voting history.

I don't think it should be a terribly big surprise for me to be okay with an Osseric lynch. I pretty much agree with your assessment of him. Aside from trying to convince the thread that I am an assassin, his content has been pretty much nil. There will be plenty of time for me to vote tomorrow before end of Day, so I'll refrain from voting right now and see where the thread goes, but I would certainly throw a vote on Osseric should that be where the train is leading.

I still think that a Karosis lynch would be more likely to bring up another Ouchi clan member, though, so if the lynch goes that way, I'm perfectly okay with that too.

Does anyone really think Mockra was Sixty? Most of us have played with him before. Sixty just does not play that poorly, especially not responding to cases and saying such idiotic things. I strongly believe that Mockra got some sort of FM role, choose Sixty (in D'riss) as his target if he got lynched/NKed, and that activated when he was lynched. When has Sixty ever used bulletpoint lists? When has he ever summed up the thread as Mockra was doing? No, it is bullshit. Sometimes team members will hammer eachother, but I don't know if I would hammer my leader, so my thought is to focus on people that didn't vote him.

Meanas and Liosan both seemed to raise a big fuss, especially as the votes increased, so my first thought would be to look in their direction, however when I started looking at the post counts I was frankly surprised that Osseric is one of the top posters. Korv has had a lot to say, so I'm not surprised at all to see him at the top of the list, but Osseric really hasn't left any impression on me to steer my vote one way or another, so I started looking at his content. Almost complete fluff and post padding IMO.

The beard talk still bugs me. I did some digging on wikipedia about the significance of a beard in japan, and there actually is a lot of stigma about growing beards over there. I'm not sure whether this was meant to imply something, but it has stood out since the beginning in my mind as an odd opening to the game.

There is a limit on quote blocks in one post, but if you flip back through his posts today, his little pissy episode also stands out as strange.

So I'm going to drop my vote there. My instinct is telling me that he's plenty of something. So a member of Galain's team or a power role.

I don't think it should be a terribly big surprise for me to be okay with an Osseric lynch. I pretty much agree with your assessment of him. Aside from trying to convince the thread that I am an assassin, his content has been pretty much nil. There will be plenty of time for me to vote tomorrow before end of Day, so I'll refrain from voting right now and see where the thread goes, but I would certainly throw a vote on Osseric should that be where the train is leading.

I still think that a Karosis lynch would be more likely to bring up another Ouchi clan member, though, so if the lynch goes that way, I'm perfectly okay with that too.

This seems to have been an odd day. I'm not quite sure what to make of everything, just yet. I'm thinking Spite would be my choice, at the moment. He went overly defensive, and kept repeating the fact that he'd look at those not voting for Galain, as if trying to deflect attention away from his initial hesitancy to vote Galain. The other cases of D'riss, Karosis, and Osseric, I'd lean closest to Osseric of those 3.

I guess everyone is waiting until last minute on this vote, so for now I'm voting Spite, but will change if needed.
