    Bloop bloop and the sun
    came up and then
    it went down
    and the day was done

    But I go on. [/list]

I didn't write it, but I love it nonetheless Posted Image

Temporarily distorted
scent of heat
revoltingly physical
this panic so shameful or this brutality
putrid air suffocating sound
sickening contact
clothes soaked with cold foul sweat
dirt of an animal mercilessly intruding
shake violently fevered repulsion
humiliated
stifled wail

Panic fury agony
will wring your wrists
weak hands
severe force
No closer this time.

After ages of speechlesness, ha...
Maybe there's too many big words? I'll verify this in the morning Posted Image I'm done.

On a lighter note, I've just "acquired" a number of songs called "still life". I had no idea Maiden made a song with name Posted Image I also had no idea Opeth *coughchokedie* had done so, too :-/ But, most of the songs are actually pretty good! Joy!

I apologise and mean no offence but poetry? Who knows maybe one day I may even like it. Their is a four line stanza from some poem that I like but when compared to the hundreds of poems I have to read four lines is not really that good.

i started once i reached certain peaks/troughs in my life, its not about understanding but expressing. most of the time i dont get what i am writing, in a literal sense, but it helps.

and as to your four lines... i dont get it Posted Image nah, its okay but not really me.

what though the field is lost
all is not lost thy unconquerable will
and study of revenge, immortal hate
and courage never to submit or yield

Thats the stanza that i like. Your thoughts

still going strong:

Dancing round the question

One night
we danced together alone
in the living room and laughed
at what the neighbours might say
if they could see us
we paused for a moment
and I caught her eye
a glance that locked
and a question
not asked or answered
but declined
perhaps
or just delayed
by the offer of a cup of tea

Flights of fancy

As a child
I used to watch them fly
their kites, up on Beacon Hill,
and marvelled
that they soared so
high and bright and brave.
Those fluttering pennants
splashing colour across the canvass
of the turgid spring sky.
I heard laughing voices
and the shrill cries of a boy
whose line had snapped.
The prisoner racing free,
tether trailing futilely behind
and I thought with sadness
of his loss.

Now in memory I see in truth
the tortured prisoners
bound and caught,
ever seeking to escape.
Wheeling and turning,
their every move enforced
by masters, fierce and cruel.
Aching and trembling for the freedom
of the vast and open skies,
their silent screams an
unheeded counterpoint
to the raucous din below.
My eyes well as I see again
the desperate headlong flight of
one whose chain is broken,
who in escaping
dances his delight.

The Vampyre’s Prayer

Father of lies hear my prayer,
my supplication, my entreaty.
I offer you this sacrifice,
with my left hand I bring it.
The abyss holds the death of light
and the beauty of eternal night.
Heed my cry and grant the
benediction of your blessing.

For I am the wolf that rends
these sacrificial lambs, throats
pulsing with the crimson
bounty that is my due.
I am the scourge that tears
their plump and pampered flesh,
to drain their precious nectar
to slake my raging thirst.
I will hear them howl and
grovel their obeisance before
my cold and pitiless stare
as I proffer my dark sacrament.

Heed my call and I will
ravage this world for you.

Hi, the new recruit here, just dropped by saying; "Ah, I`m tired of waiting!" SE`s really teasing right now. Other, less healthy habits come to mind now a days when I look into my mailbox only to discover another sad truth; "It just won`t happen, even if you really will it."

I`m waiting, waiting
For the mail to come.
Waiting, for my Master
To play his Magic Drum.

I`m withering, away
in the scorching sun.
I`m dreaming, not of Water,
but of a Book to come!

SE you`d better wright fast, or I`ll be in a coma soon.

Yours truly , the recruit.

Oscillating
random, aimless
denigrating
seldom blameless
demonstrating
often shameless
execrating
never painless

Whats the point in Poe
try to see, the mess
ages taken, thoughts warped but no
thing`s ever what they seem?, to be
lie, his own myth
