You accidentally put the butterfly on his face instead of his lower back.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Random piece. I've been reading Monstress by Marjorie Liu and watching Taboo, so I decided I wanted to do something sorta inspired by those two things

hah!
the idea popped into my head, was chatting to someone about how bad hangovers and the horrors get as you get older. "never again" and all those lies, but come thursday you've always convinced yourself that a few beers at the weekend is a great idea.

I'll probably try add some sweat and tidy up the glasses a bit then send it to my friends on the thursday before paddys weekend, just as a friendly reminder/ warning :)

Brought a drawing basics book with me on holidays, originally determined to take a half hour to myself every day to draw something. Outside of Peking duck that hasn't happened yet. But finally started today. Book is excellently laid out but first lesson yielded this:

The last few exercises were all facial things, have gone through them but will definitely be doing them again. But today's lesson was then start of body stances and stuff.

I made the body frame too wide I think and its a bit off in ratio in some parts, and it doesn't really look like she's semi rotated because shoulders. But its something?

Have started red lining it (in pencil as I have no red pen) but In think shortening her left shoulder and tucking the arm and hand more behin the body as well as bring the right arm further across the leg a bit would help.
The feet are beyond help :D

Well the main thing that stands out for me is her shoulders being too big for a woman but all the rest might help aswell.

Before outlines I suggest you sketch in the rough structure, map it out first in light 2H pencil then go over it in something darker like 4B or pen.

Jazza explains it pretty well:

I sorta knew quite early I had made the frame too broad, but was just plowed on and chalked it up as a learning exp

Yeah can't draw hands it would seem.
And it turned into a fairly androgynous character (is that the word for indeterminate sex?) It could be a girl with a strong chin or a guy with long hair.
Either way they're lopsided as fuck whatever they are :killingme: :killingme:
