Slightly weird that Pat or someone else didn't get review copies yet, tho.

Transworld doesn't do advanced review copies for Malazan books. Pat has in the past gotten an early copy of a manuscript. I'm not sure if didn't this time around, we haven't heard of it, or whatever. I usually get my finshed copy around 2-3 weeks prior to the official publication date.

I got in touch with SE's editor a few weeks back to inquire about the possibility to get an early read (a privilege I've had since REAPER'S GALE), but I haven't heard back from him.
Will try again...

For those wondering on early copies:
I got word today that an early copy is in the mail (not sure if it's already the finished version or if they did produce ARCs for this - which was not done for the Malazan books). If one is coming to me, then I think it's safe to assume that others on there way to folks like Pat and Adam and probably a number of other blogger/reviewers. So, further word on this should begin leaking out soon, though with my schedule these days I doubt I'll get a review done until about the release date.

I've been told last Friday that I had something on its way, but I haven't received it yet. . .
Hopefully they didn't use Royal Mail, otherwise I might not even get it before pub date. . .

Probably not me. I only managed to get one Malazan book (either TTH or DoD, can't remember which now) as a review copy and that was after jumping through some hoops and getting a rec (from you, IIRC ). I can't be bothered to do that again, so I buy on release day.

UK amazon says 31 July
US amazon says 18 Sept
For Kindle edition.
I thought the tubes were faster than that.
