I don't like to blaspheme, but sweet jesus:

I didn't even realise it was close to being finished. but then I get THIS! and THIS!

Abercrombie is my favourite author outside of Stover, Morgan, and Butcher. This news gives me all sorts of strange and wonderful feelings that I can only attribute with becoming a big boy.

WHY ARE YOU NOT DISCUSSING THIS ALREADY?

Looks like it, pretty sure Joe hasn't confirmed it, but it looks almost certain.

Cosca looks to be coming back too. And all in a western setting! So exciting.

Abercrombie was dropping hints to the effect that we hadn't seen the last of The Bloody Nine on his signing tour for The Heroes. And that he might show up in this book.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Bertrand Russell

Pretty sure I read a synopsis confirming that, actually. Looking for it now.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

The latest Gollancz catalog synopsis confirms that Logen is in this one. (I can't find a direct link to the catalog, just lots of discussion about it)

Quote

"His name is Logen Ninefingers. And he’s back for one more adventure...

Joe Abercrombie is the most successful genre novelist of his generation, with a remarkable, cynical and powerful voice cutting through the clichés of the fantasy genre to create something compelling and exceptionally commercial. A Red Country is his most powerful novel yet."

also, the recently revealed US cover features an old dude with only 9 fingers on the cover.

It is a curious choice of swords for Logen. Hopefully there's a story to it.

Also, while I am no swordsman, I'm pretty sure you don't swing a sword like a baseball bat.

It would have been cool if they didn't let us know at all. I always thought Joe was keeping it a surprise for the reader. Kind of like GRRM did with a certain Ser.

Still pumped though!

Oh my fucking golly gosh. I cannot express how pumped I am for this book. The trailer alone...so much anticipation and suspense!

The Bloody Nine is back for another round. Heavens praise Abercrombie! I couldn't get enough of The Heroes so this will be most delicious.
Suck it Errant!

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

THE BLOODY NINE BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!

although that US cover is Shite. Ninefingers is meant to be a smashed up ugly massive brute of a man, not a holywood roman soldier.
Do these publishers even read the books???? disgusting...It also completely gives the game away, not that it was subtle, but still.

For shame. He better Bloody Nine Nocomo Coska...that would be HILARIOUS
