It could be indicative of a lack of money in the system as a whole. Every time someone buys a title, 30000 dinari is removed from the game that could otherwise have been spent on goods. That's going to make it harder for people to afford to make purchases. Plus if someone is saving for a title they're not going to blow their money on the bazaar...
In any case, it's still early yet. lots of time for people to buy your stuff, Anthras.

I can undo that if people think it's not cool to take advantage of a poorly worded contract.

I suspect the question is more whether it's legal to sell information about yourself. The person who posted the contract didn't specify a price, so that's his loss IMO.

Hehe, I like it, though I'm not sure whether PS would allow it. Although, thinking about it, I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed. I think it's an inventive use of the market.
You've tempted me into posting loads of joke contracts. I should resist though, because inevitably I will wind up writing up which actually can be fulfilled, and suddenly I'll be in deep shit

So many people wanting to sell, yet so few people willing to buy...

Looks like someone didn't agree with Anthras' 'killing is bad for the game' assertion.
Not surprising considering people love to blow their vigs in mafia on the really outside chance it will help...
So, is Anthras who smelt it, the one who dealt it?

These finders are terrifying! I don't know if/when I'll be put up and who will know who I am. Aghhh. So scary.

My guess is that the finders have no attacking/debilitating powers, so they have to hope that someone on their faction who can actually do something about their find buys up the contract.
It's also possible, if very risky, that they're actually on the same faction as the person they found, and hope that others of their faction buy up the contract and thus also learn who is on their side.
These finder contracts do have pros as well as cons for us in that sense - because it could just lead to more people being on the side of the one found.

Oooh, 1000 dinari this time - is it because I complained?

This has nothing to do with the game really but how do you do a post count (like how many posts each person has in a thread)

Go to the Mafia forum; next to the game thread, it lists the number of replies. That number is actually a link, click it, and you'll get a pop up with posters and their post counts sorted numerically.

Lots already going on this weekend I see. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to play; busy, busy. Of course, not much ever happens on thread anyway....only on the Bazaar.

Finally know how to do that, it was nagging me.
Yeah the bazaar has been the most active part of the game so far, though today has been a bit more subdued.

The Dreadfather has been spotted on the streets. The dark enforcer of the Cult is a tragic, misunderstood figure, walking the rope of reason above the looming chasm of murderous insanity. It will chafe on him that his allies are the Thieves he usually hunts. It is like a hunting cat teamed with hares: a recipe for disaster. Nevertheless, the tight discipline that is Hassan's one rescue line hasn't yet snapped. Elsewhere, ibn Qolat's latest puzzle seems the talk of the taverns, where clientèle huddles over braziers, torches and anything else the puzzle can be heated in, prodding at it with tongs, sticks, dagger tips and flicking it up and down. So far, one taberna has burned down as a brazier fell over, and thirteen fatal casualties as a result of the tiny poisonous barbs in the contraption have been reported. The fact that the Festival of Masks coincides with this puzzle doesn't help: festivities in the bawdyhouses spill over into the streets, leading to more accidents as joyous revellers busy themselves with the puzzle and the puzzlers.
From this I think we can establish that another Cult of Vultures player was active last night, but possibly to the detriment of their allies the Thieves? It also looks like whoever bought Huassan's Riddle of Despair has been tinkering with it, but I wonder if they've done every action? Then there's this 'Festival of Masks' - no idea about that but probably someone's ability.
So clearly people are being active, but whatever is being done is still mostly to do with building up everyone's power base, judging from the lack of actual events, aside from Kara's death now and the buying of titles.
At the moment, if we are going to lynch, I would prefer the lynching of a low-lier if nothing definitive happens. I know I haven't been the most active myself, but others have been taking the piss a little with their number of posts. BUT, even so, at the moment I am still happy not to lynch at all (how many times can that be said in a mafia game safely?!! This is definitely not your normal game!)
Yeah, I think there is a lot of info in the scenes, I have trouble keeping track of which names go with which factions. But it is clear that someone is "doing something to the detriment of their allies," which is interesting. Sounds like it's not the first time this game, either (from "he usually hunts"). We know the info about the RoD is also true, only one action left, and it's on the Bazaar. Festival of Masks....no idea right now.
How are the titles distributed between the two teams right now? With 3 titles bought already, and of course only 3 days passing, it seems like some people have been able to make fast cash mostly through the market and probably abilities. All this leads me to think that I disagree with your "no lynch" assessment. Things have been rolling along behind the scenes quite quickly, it seems, and there's no telling how fast things could escalate once people finally gather enough goods to get upgrades or something. I have a feeling things will be moving even faster as the game goes on the way it has (everyone feeling safe on-thread cause of no voting); exponentially, even. So I actually think we should lynch; we have 3 days of info to go on, we should be able to make a decent case, and I think it will actually slow the game down a little rather than speed it up (which I think some people realize would benefit them).
So, I'll have to come back with more thoughts in awhile but I think we need to be more active on thread, not just discussing but lynching as well. And we saw a vote for Kara and then she died but fuck me and the WIFOM involved in that.

I read that as more that the Dreadfather has the potential to wreak havock on the thieves but is currently allied with them. Which isn't to say that the allience will be permanant through the game. Would make sense since there's another role out there, I'd guess they'd be semi-allied with the Houses of Agreement as well.
Also, if you take a look at the bazaar you'll see that the Riddle of Despair has been marked at how much it's been used, which is all the actions except the last.
