I also raised an eyebrow at Korvalain's sudden upage in content posts. It was only yesterday that I said that I'd forgotten there was even a Korvalain in this game.

However, the fact that Korv has raised up a few people means there's no specific agenda that can be linked as yet to his sudden exit from passivity.

On the other hand:

I'm now convinced that D'riss has been recruited.

Something in all that Korv posted recently has really not sat well at all with D'riss. Ergo, (at least) one of Tennes, Gamelon and Ruse is a cult leader.

if you think that D'riss has been recruited, vote the suspected recruiter.
I keep seeing Tennes' name pop up, yet no one is doing much. His case on Mockra is interesting, but as i've said, I don't think we can rely ont he same patterns of "scummy" behaviour in a cult game as telltale signs of non-town play.

Beginning to mull the merits of "minimum posting" rules....

Seriously, what happened? After 2 full games of good content going at once (newbs/vets) I'm a little shocked.

which vet game were you watching? I didn't see any content there.

Which is precisely why I for one haven't been playing along that method, because I directly contradict it :p My point, which I made to Rashan last night, is that cult recruiters, though they're not usual killers, stiil tend to play like major scum, which to me puts them in the 'been posting regularly but not sticking their neck out too much' category.

i disagree with this. recruiters have (esp after night 1, if there's a succession mechanic in play) tended to be far less restricted in play styles they may adopt.

Then let's lynch Atrahal. I'm tired of being linked to that shifty bastard. I'm starting to feel that everyone but me has been recruited by now anyway, despite the lack of logic in that thought.

It's just me and you, Silly baby. One last fling.

You poor thing, you know, it is comments like this that really make me think you are scummy or at the very least a recruit. Most people don't know who to trust which you can see in almost every post that is made but people don't harp on about, 'oh me, i'm so inno, but I don't think any of the rest of you are what do I do!'

A big WTF to D'rek. His distraction may have cost us the game. I don't know what to do now.

The math in my head thinks there is four scum in each team now. That's half the players. But I'm thinking one team leader went hunting last night instead of recruiting.

some cryptic stuff from Omtose here.... would you like to enlighten us?

Yeah, these comments by Omtose perplexed me too, i've commented on them twice but all he has done is make a drive by 'gut' vote and not tried to explain himself.

Precisely 5 of all those posts of mine you put up, Tennes, are non-serious, non game-related posts. It doesn't work to simply copy everything I wrote and call it spam. Do you know what spam is actually? Or are you, *shock*, trying to crowbar posts into your own beliefs/ideas?

Precisely my point. Non game related posts that distance the discussion away from Mockra. The Mockra case was pages back due to you and Rashan bouncing off each other.

ugh, do you only read parts of sentences that fit your case? (wait, don't answer that. this IS mafia).

there's a limit of smth like 8 quotes per post. you posted 2 full posts of quotes. that's 16 quotes.

5 of them, less than 33.33333333% were "spam". yet you accuse Atrahal of spamming? why the hell aren't you draging up Rashan for declaring a desire to be top=poster thru spam, and posting drunk spam all over the place last night?

your argument makes no sense.

I think it also depends on the exact mechanic, I think they won't be scared of being slightly more vocal on thread, especially as the days pass, if they are informed that their recruiting has been a success and if there is a succession rule as barghast suggests. I could see them staying semi-cautious if they didn't know but still, I really don't think they'll play one way as a rule, a certain type of player will often play a similar way regardless.

i dont by the "scum dont want to lynch" theory at all.

they want to lynch just as much as us....they want to kill the opposing cults recruiters just as much as everyone else..
they sure as shit dont seem like they want to waste nights on NK's instead of recruiting now do they.
3 nights and one NK which seems random enough to be a vig as much as anything else.

Makes no sense to me for scum to stall lynches.
i guess for some people the liosan CF just wasnt enough.

Yes, but this was early enough in the game that scum may have wanted a wider pool to recruit from.

I gave two potential reasons as to why the train was forced to shift. The second ties us up with having to rule out Liosan as scum.

this is pretty thin.
There were people who only voted Lio b/c they didn't see a better option. I voted Lio cuz my browser was playingheadgames with me and I thught we had 5 mins left to get a lynch. I was never enamoured with lynching Lio.

All of this is pretty much irrelevant at this point. Who are we going to lynch TODAY?

Edit: fixed punctuation.

I just tried to quote that one but was saying I had too many quote marks. Are you doing this on purpose as well? I noticed Kalse/Omtose and Gamelon in there as well. He was trying to push for connections between players. Rashan/Barghast, Tennes/Olar, Kalse/Omtose, Rashan/Barghast and Gamelon/Tennes.

This opens up a lot of wifom. You may be more accurate with his earlier vote on Mockra. I find Mockra's play scummy. He stayed off the first two lynch trains and then comes out when called yesterday to vote for an "obvious" lynch. When I get home i'm going to have a look at him and Serc.

Doing what as well? All I see is the list of possible connections he was looking at, which as you pointed out were: Rashan/Barghast, Tennes/Olar, Kalse/Omtose, Rashan/Barghast and Gamelon/Tennes
He didn't build a case on any of them, so I don't see him as a particular threat to anyone, more likely trying to lay low so as not to get much attention. My guess is that he was a recruit and was picked off by Silanah.

escept he wasn't a recruit, cuz he had a normal CF.

what game are you playing here, D'riss?

yahtzee

No this was before we had gotten confirmation from PS on how a recruit would cf. If it makes you feel better I formally retract that statement.

yes, it does Igmeoy, tho

gah, i've been following the game for most of the time, but I was late for class this moring so I skimmed most of the stuff since last night. in the meantime, a bunch of cases popped up, I felt I should bother and read them through carefully.

my opinions:

Tennes-makes some strawman arguments, makes a case on Mockra, which while a good "scum" case, isn't necessarily an effective measure in a cult game, as i've said above. He's also been implicated by Vengy in "connections", so idk.

Mockra- case fro lowposting, and showing up only when mentioned. meh, like I said, cases based on playstyle are pretty dum past Day 1 in a cult game.

Omtose--stupid remarks, lazy vote. annoying, but not terribly suspicious.

Gamelon-brought up for coasting, not much else. I go tno read on him, so kudos to Kalse for the case.

Rashan and Atrahal--fucking spammers. who seem to have beef with everyone.

Tellan--getting heat for Day 1 antics, and absence, but heat died down. Also, never did tell me why he didn't like Serc.

the following people I have no read on: Okaros, OE.

The following peson is ignored by everyone- Serc. though he's a vig now, apparently.

yeah, it's a list. bitches love lists.
