Sorry all, I slept right through the lynch (was exhausted!) and then had work all day up till now. First off, I got to say, before we got their alts, I would have pegged Sorrit as D'rek and Liosan as Venge, not the other way round :p

I think the kill is likelier to come from a town member than a cultist - but either way, it was someone hoping to have found a cult leader. It is possible that there are recruits a-plenty at this stage, though I am hesitant to speculate on the number of recruiters or the recruiting mechanics. But to me whether the position of some players has altered doesn't actually change anything at all right now. Cult leaders continue to be the target.

A big WTF to D'rek. His distraction may have cost us the game. I don't know what to do now.

You're dumb. You lynched someone for RPing, then get sad when, surprise, she comes up inno.

I agree. Omtose's reaction strikes me as over the top and like someone scrambling to look townie.

I'd be willing to vote Mockra.

And where were these sorts of posts when I was saying Mockra was scummy on day 2?!?!?!

Looks like not a lot has happened today. I know there is something dodgey that went down on the train with Emurlahn and I thought for sure that there was misdirection going on away from Liosan but the fact that he went on and ended up being innocent I'm not sure where exactly to look at from here. The only other interesting bit of going ons was the fact that we got our first night kill. Why Sorrit? He was one of my canidates for being scum as he fell into the middle of the road group that I was keeping an eye on.

D'riss and Tennes are going out of their way to see who is the first to repost everything that Sorrit said. If I had to guess I'm thinking with the fake symping that Rashan accused D'riss of, that D'riss and his recruit Tennes are going out of their way to create WIFOM and direct attention away from each other. And the fact that they went out of their way to double mention Barghast is a bit strange. Was it deliberate? I find it very suspicious in any case.

I think in regards to Mockra I will need to do a reread on him to see where I stand. I always seem to get him and Ruse mixed up. I know I had a bit of a bone with him earlier in the game but he defended himself well enough that I believe his reasonings. Anything after that hasn't really stood out to me.

Right now the two players that are standing out to me are Gamelon and Ruse. Gamelon I get the impression that he is coasting along putting in minimal effort and staying under the radar. It could just be lazy towie play but I get the feeling it's not. Ruse is only on my radar because of two posts recently. His Sigh... and Interesting... posts. Did that sit wrong with anyone else? Seems a bit forced for me.

Oh one other thing that I forgot to mention earlier. Rashan seems to be absoluted obsessed with stating that Silanah has the killing powers. How can you still think that when a townie was killed and you seem so adamant that there is some sort of finder/kill power that he must have. If that were true then wouldn't a cult member be the one that died last night and not a town player.

I'm begining to wonder if your fascination with this ability stems from the "he who smelt it dealt it" philosophy. But since you seem to be wrong in regards to the results probably not unless you are deliberately trying to defelct who actually has that role.

Gamelon is now one of the high posters? When did that happen and why can't I remember anything he said? Definately need to take a look at him.

Well no wonder I can't remember him. Of his 50 odd posts he has, maybe 4 that give more than a token response. Post padding if I ever saw it. Why don't you come out and give an analysis and help us out here? If you are not going to say anything why go to the trouble of giving the impression that you are actually participating. For all you've said you might as well be a low poster.

I was under the assumption that we would not know if we had killed the recruited folk, just the original recruiters. - I could be very wrong here. I don't see much of a good reason that a cultist would kill last night, so that felt like the safest assumption of the bunch.

Agreed, 100%. If you find anything, please share. I have a major examination tomorrow and the next, and I'm going to be studying my ass off for a while.

Hmm hmm hmm. Willing to lynch Tellan, Mockra, and Gamelon. In no specific order. Also Omtose or Ruse. Because seriously, I have no handle on which is which.:p

I'm a bit surprised that the loud, opinionated Rashan was replaced by a 1-liner non-committal Rashan.
If I didn't know any better, I'd supposed he was FMed, :p

anyhow, my team lost our playoff game today, i'm tired as hell. And I need to go to work (thank Christ, last time this week)

so, i'll be back in about... 5? hours.

Yeah, as I stated previously, I'm willing to lynch any of the middle-order posters. Probably Mockra and Omtose first and foremost as they're the ones who've pinged my radar on previous days, but, seriously, any of the others (Gamelon, Ruse, Serc, Korvalain, Tennes) could equally be a good bet for a cult leader.

Huh, that's about half the players there. Well, narrowing it down, I've seen some posts I agree with from Korv and Tennes. I can't remember a thing Gamelon or Serc have said. Ruse I've mistrusted since the Emurlahn lynch - I personally felt if anyone looked suspicious after that lynch it was him.

As for whether we know if we've lynched a recruit...I thought PS said that he will make it clear? And in the Liosan lynch, the scene made it clear that they were no recruit.

D'riss seems to be constantly linked to other players. So instead of Emur's recruit he's now Tennes'? Is this linking crappy play from D'riss or is there really something there perhaps?

So prior to the fiasco of the Emurlahn and Liosan lynches, you couldn't be arsed to say or do very much.

This is my only opportunity to post today. I haven't had a chance to look at the thread other than looking at the time stamp and a few of the last couple of posts.and our chioces look to be between Emur and Lio. Personally I don't have much of a read on Emur at the moment but Lio has been annoying me all game. So if for nothing else than to eliminate someone whos posts I find very hard to read

vote Liosan

Happy St Patty's Day everyone.

I find it interesting and a bit scummy that you now come back to us with the full Monday morning quarterback review. As far as I'm concerned, while I don't fully trust Tennes motivations, he's following the same train of thought that I had as far as the WTF of a low contributer getting killed. I'm reviewing all of the connections he thought he saw as well as Mockra. About the only thing you have said here that I agree with is that Gamelon's posting does look a bit suspicious, I'll have to look closer at the patterns.

Edited to add seperation between posts.

I also raised an eyebrow at Korvalain's sudden upage in content posts. It was only yesterday that I said that I'd forgotten there was even a Korvalain in this game.

However, the fact that Korv has raised up a few people means there's no specific agenda that can be linked as yet to his sudden exit from passivity.

On the other hand:

I'm now convinced that D'riss has been recruited.

Something in all that Korv posted recently has really not sat well at all with D'riss. Ergo, (at least) one of Tennes, Gamelon and Ruse is a cult leader.

Oh yay!!!! A wall o text post by D'riss. Real helpful. They seem to be very popular this game and more than a bit bothersome.

I literally only had enough time to log in scan to see where things stood and cast my vote on Lio and then log out. Which should be obvious as the fact that I missed the fact that the vote had swung back to Emurlahn by the time I got my vote cast. If you missed over two full day's worth of detail wouldn't you want to get yourself up to speed as to what went on?

This last post by you has an OMGUS vibe to it. I'm not calling you a cult or recruiter but the way those posts by you and Tennes seem to mirror each other it is almost impossible not to think there is a connection between the two of you. It's a bit too obvious in my book but you never know. We haven't exactly been hitting it out of the park this game in regards to hitting scum. Makes me think that it's either harder to recruit a player or we have been incredibly unlucky not to hit a cult player by now.

Not sure about this post on if you are complementing me or accussing me. If I was taking Friday off for some St Paddy's day drinking would you have given me such a hard time about my low quality posting during that same period instead of me spending the day watch B-Ball with some friends?

Actually I took his reaction as a bit OMGUS but maybe you are right on this. I don't think Tennes because that seems a bit obvious. It's more likely to be Ruse or Gamelon because for some reason these two are not sitting right with me.
