Tiam's responses just solidifies my confidence in my vote that much more. This quote in particular exemplifies his rebuttal:

You twist the words pretty well. I mentioned i was going to vote merrid and he come on and someone shouted out that it was signalling. Please. Throw me another one.

Tiam is now foreswearing any suspicious allegiances whatsoever, which is understandable for one getting heat and high on the list for a lynch. However, despite pleading innocence, he tries to keep the pressure on his supposed connections, saying that he'll follow someone else's lead on who to vote for next. And then there are accusations of twisting words and even throwing a vote for Thyr trying to divert attention.

But the best line is "Your best bet if i am a symp is to lynch me." Symps CF as town. How does lynching a symp benefit town? Probably just a mistake in his wording in a hasty post, but still strange all the same.

If anything, the Merrid thing looks much more like fake symping to me, I mean, you can't get much more blatant and it was one of the few things thyr has picked up on and pointed out, though that lead to a less than serious exchange admittedly. And it came around the time of the Okaros case and tiam following Anthras' vote there with a case and vote. So, around when it first started getting serious.

Yes, Merrid could possibly fit in as scum, mid level posting, tends to look like they have something to say etc. but I'm not getting that strong a vibe off him, nothing like the vibe I get off Thyr. Though Kara, you've pointed out Alkend saying it was feeling less and less right thing a couple of times now, suggesting it as a reason for her death, that kill seems a very strange one, but I am confused at what you are suggesting. You seem to think too that tiam may be a symp, if so, she wouldn't have kill power. So, it must have been her master that killed Alkend, but it seems like a risky move considering that was a last minute comment and before that Alkend was on the train, someone who could easily have been fingered as potential scum themselves.

And here's the crux as pointed out by Korlat. I have been trying to understand the arguments from the standpoint of Tiam being a symp, allowing my attention to slide from him to his supposed masters. But fake symping. That's an entirely different ball game. That would potentially elevate Tiam to killer (though symp is still on the table). I can see killers fake symping, especially if it emphases their unimportance (no one really wants to lynch a symp because it does not protect town from acute harm; we need to hit the killers).

So I agree with what Merrid said a couple posts above. Either we caught a killer who was leading the thread and now is scrambling to dive back into the shadows or we hit a townie who has been blind to others opinions and has pushed his ideas at the cost of a more analytic approach. Both lynches would be fine, but I am counting on us getting one of the killers.

Right, so we had a reveal just after I went to bed, typically after I'd been hanging around for ages with no one to talk to. Okaros still got lynched, which was not terribly surprising because claims need to be tested, though I would have been tempted to lynch Korabas instead (Which would have saved us the ridiculous bitching afterwards... You realise that playing aggressive play is not the only way to play Mafia, right? And that it only works if you actually know how to play?) I don't think I buy that Kora isn't inno so that's something I guess (I think someone suggested that somewhere?). Sulking inno is still inno.

Of Anthras, Thyr and Tiam, I'd be tempted to vote Tiam because he's annoying as all hell and talks a lot but doesn't really seem to say much that is useful. Some of the statements are very odd, like not caring who gets lynched, and the 'woe is me, I may as well be lynched' thing is pinging quite a bit as well. Also the comment wanting to look into Kara for being smart reasonable and having good grammar is rather strange. That said, I have a horrible sinking feeling he's inno and just annoying. I hate players like that, my irritation with them makes it hard to think clearly about them.

Wrong. Notice I made a question. I didn't use the word "else" to imply that I thought that we should. At the time, we were spinning the wheels. I was looking to see what people were thinking. People, like Kara for example, remark that I ask questions. That's how I find things out, responses to questions contain info we can use. This is quite a classic scum play here Thyr, to phrase something that could be seen as questionable as an open question, so someone else can then pick it up as a good idea and run with it, they can take the fall if it turns out to be scummy. If people straight off don't like it, it is easy to weasel out of it by saying, well, exactly what you said here.

Yes we ask question and prod at inconsistencies to get answers and ideas but you don't make vauge half-suggestions like that. You were looking to see what people where thinking? Well fine, but if you expect people to let you know what they are thinking, first let them know what you are thinking, you say now if someone had agreed with this you would have said you didn't think it was a good idea, we can't know that at all, we have your word for it, whereas if you had asked the question and stated you didn't think personally it would be the right move for x,y,x reasons then we'd have had some idea of where you stood on it and how people reacted to both the question and your personal thoughts.

This though, it comes off as extremely scummy.

I have explained myself on this topic. However, I grant the validity of your comments and accept the slap on the wrist. Also, opinions on playstyles will differ.

Now, please stop being a low poster and use your skillz to help town more. The posts I've read from you on these last 2 pgs seem like you know what you're doing enough to readily contribute.

Jesus tiam, I get if you are inno you'd be annoyed but throwing a hissy fit is not the way to go about showing you are in any way shape pr form, your play since the timer unfroze has been seriously erratic.

Yes, everyone has different playstyles, but regardless of them that comment and the way it was presented is still scummy.

I think by the looks of it, we're heading towards a tiam lynch, which i'm not opposed to but I will be surprised if she cfs as scum, what with her playstyle being more reminiscent of a symp. Which meas even if she cfs as town it proves nothing to us, we'll be as unsure as we are now over whether she is symp or scum. Her recent play makes me want to vote for her but I worry about the results of it. Of course, as said it could be fake symping and that could have been a scum freak out, but it really doesn't come off that way to me at all, I can't see scum giving in like that because the self-vote 'i'm such a put upon townie' thing usually doesn't help in stalling a lynch.

Despite the argument with Anthras though, she never voted him, but instead has chose to join her own train, of course Anthras only has one vote so that could mean nothing but we do seem to be at a rather delicate moment in the game so far as things go because a lynch is going to happen relatively quick as people come back from the weekend and put their votes in before time out. Admittedly she also put a vote on thyr but had zero but the 'instert case here' post makes it less of a threat and more approaching a help, since it was so absurd.

10 hours we had. No content over the weekend but you'd think people would get back to discuss today lynch. It has been a foregone conclusion to day 2. I should have shut up and let you lynch Anthras or Merrid.

Erratic play because although i've played as best as I could for town other town members come on and think i'm scum or a symp. You can't all be scum. Your giving the game to scum though.

Anthras was mentioned he comes on. Merrid was mentioned he comes on. Then I mention Thyr and he comes on. Why weren't they already on and contributing? Why only come on when mentioned and then disappear when questioned?

I cannot wait to watch day 3 from SH. Little to no content. You think how hard it is to get a lynch of me with my own vote on me well wait until you truly find scum and two people won't vote. Will you get the numbers for a lynch.
