When people who operate and have ALWAYS operated in bad faith like that, I can't stomach it.

They DEPEND on that reaction from people like us though. They want us to get angry and engage the point and the lies and the conflations....but they don't want to change their own minds, they don't want things explained for that purpose.

I was very tempted to make a joke right now about how if King Charles were truly noble, he'd have stuck his steak knife through Trump's throat and then beheaded himself... but since Comey has now been indicted for posting "8647", I'm honestly concerned that deadpan jokes might make me a future target of the Trump administration---particularly once they start using automated agents to identify and initiate action against Trump's enemies.

That said, the prosecution of Comey is most likely going to go nowhere... unless the subversion of the courts becomes more drastic.

Trump's apparent willingness to extend the blockade for several more months---despite the impact on prices and the upcoming midterms---may suggest he's given up on trying to win fair elections, and plans on more extreme election subversion. Perhaps an auto-coup.

And then perhaps he'll have ICE (or NICE, if he goes through with the name change he endorsed recently on Truth Social) knocking through my door to drag me off to be tortured, enslaved, and/or farmed for organs for this post (among others)...

Right, but he's not making this call. Even if he publicly says so. The capitalists in America call the shots, not him. If THEY decide that this is hurting them more than that want, they will force him through all the politicians they can pressure to make him stop. What happens when Amazon Prime starts to haemorrhage subscribers? Or when people simply stop using the site as much as the used to as they are struggling to afford food? Not just this, China knows that Taiwan has an "amenable-to-reunificaiton" politician in the wings in Taiwan in their opposition leader. So the minute her party gains power then talks will take place for a peaceful reunification of China and Taiwan. Xi merely needs to wait.
