I know this is putting a dark spin in things but can anyone else see the orange admin somehow using what is going on in Iran as a justification to take control over Minnesota to prevent something from happening like Iran here? I honestly can’t see them feeling bad about twisting this narrative.

That definitely seems like it's where they're angling.

So the orange twat has thrown more tariffs about (which Yanks will have to pay) because Europe has not immediately conceded to his toddler tantrum over Greenland.

At this point we are going to have to consider America as a hostile nation, I think.

I think Russian and Chinese bots are having a grand ole time the last few days and to many people are nibbling on their poisonous worms.

I refuse to believe that Trump would actually go through on his very dumb “hard way” jargon in regards to Greenland when we can/could already access the material for Azaths future cyborg cock parts, and if he tries to I think my fellow Pubs in power would Impeach him.

I’m very nervous that Macrons EU collation mission there has ultimately shattered NATO along with whatever Carney’s “New World Order” is aboot prompting the new tariff shit. R&C are very busy on YouTube and X I think as somehow my shit is filled with shit on why I should hate Europe and want to go back to American Isolation. Just breathe every one if you’re able to.

Let me stop you right there BK.

Read these words.

Macron has not shattered Nato.

Your president Trumps threats to take over Greenland prompted the response. A credible threat against a Nato member.
By a founding Nato state.

This is 100% on Trump and every single Republican who voted for him and even now refuse to condemn him.

You have WAY more faith in Republicans than I do....if the Epstein stuff wasn't enough to impeach and remove him, what makes you think this is?

along with whatever Carney’s “New World Order”

It baffles me that the right wing media has glommed onto that phrase as nefarious. "A New World Order" means my country, under a sane Prime Minister (with a phD in Economics), has decided that the USA has abandoned not only its protective pact with the other NATO countries, but has completely fucked trade with his tariff BS AND attacked our sovereignty MANY times in the last year...that the clear new Global leader on trade is China. This is just a fact, and I realize it's a difficult fact for America to understand, but new world order is just us embracing a dependable country for a trade partner in China (who have rarely if ever gone back on any trade practices they agreed upon)...because the USA under Trump has decided that it can't even honour the trade pact we had THAT HE SIGNED last time...so we walked.

While the US has laser focused on social war nonsense and convinced all the voters to fight over those things, China quietly pulled away from you on Trade, Environment, and all other avenues, while beefing up their middle class, and their technology sector. Their EV cars beat Tesla and the legacy auto makers for price point and quality. So while your country has been arguing with itself and shitting on trans people or POC or immigrants...China has just gotten on with business. I posted a video a while up thread a few months back with an economist explaining this, you should give it a watch, it's pretty interesting.

This.

In fact, I'm going to do something fun and explain how the trump man has lied to you BK...in just one of many instances when it comes to trade.

Now, bear in mind that the current trade agreement in place between the US, Canada, and Mexico (USMCA) was arranged and agreed upon by Trump in his first term. Keep that in the back of your head.

Let's talk the Dairy tariff. Trump brought it up as one of the things that he was upset by about Canada, that there was a 200% tariff for the US on their Dairy coming into Canada...that was one of his excuses about coming down hard on us...and many people just bought it. Right?

Okay, so Canada has between 9000 and 10,000 local dairy farms. That's MORE than enough to sufficiently provide dairy to the whole country. We don't need US dairy at all. The USA however, has something like 300k dairy farms, which means you OVERPRODUCE your dairy...so you want to sell it to Canadians to offload such overproduction. We don't want this and we don't need this. But we want to be good trade partners, so we agreed (under NAFTA and then under USMCA) to allow SOME US dairy into our country. So we came up with a number, and then put a cap at the top of that number. If your dairy farmers go BEYOND that Cap number, the dairy is beholden to a 200% tariff which means no one buys anymore. Now listen up cause this is the important bit. The USA has NEVER hit that cap. That's how high it is. So for all intents and purposes the "200% tariff" Trump was complaining about has never been enacted because you've never hit the quota to force it. Now, you might say "well why don't we get rid of all of that and let the free market decide"? Well, then the US dairy farms would SWAMP the Canadian ones with product and Canadian farmers would go tits up. So that's the reason for the cap and tariff to begin with...but it was all working fine and as intended until Trump decided the deal he said was rhetorical best deal the first time, was no longer the best deal...all for sound bytes and to try to look tough.

So he lies, CONSTANTLY, whether it's blatant, or by omission...but constantly. So when he tells you who he is, you should absolutely believe him. If he thinks he will be allowed to get away with "getting" Greenland, he'll do it. Because that man has NEVER understood consent.

Trump thinks he is a master strategist playing chess but he plays against the board as if it was static. He forgets that every time he makes a move the board changes in response. So now we have Canada looking to china, Europe getting pissed about Greenland and now after 365*24 hours and counting Ukraine is no closer to peace than it was before he took office.

He acts on a whim, trusts his guts and doesn’t think the consequences through.

His approval rating is tanking, by his own statements he thinks republicans are doomed in the midterms and he has now joked at least 3 times about cancelling them.

In the meantime let him distract himself on anything but the economy.

Who here is a Russian or Chinese bot???

It must be a lot of work to maintain a tenuous enough relationship to the truth that one has to frame as bots those correctly talking shit about a mad king wannabe flooding American cities with secret police that are brutalizing people and cutting support to the poor and those with disabilities.

Like him not realizing that if he invades Greenland, NATO goes tits up and all of the sudden 80k+ US military members are then stranded in foreign countries where the US military bases they are on revert to the ownership of the country they are in. Like he thinks "Oh, it's just NATO, who cares"...no dawg, your ENTIRE countries existence on the world stage with 50-whatever military bases around said world collapses in a moment...the US shrinks entirely back into itself militarily.

He can't think more than one step ahead...nor can any one of his little nazi toadies like Miller...

Cause, you give the man too much credit. He doesn't play the game; he shits on the board and calls it a win.

Apparently he's threatening to tear NATO up because he didn't get an award that he is clearly unfit for. The man is deranged, dangerous and it utterly boggles the mind that anyone still supports him. It is going to take decades, possibly centuries for the USA to recover from the reputational damage he has caused y'all, and I can pretty much guarantee that all of Europe will view the USA with deep suspicion on the political stage for a very long time.

Oh yes I totally fucking said Russian and Chinese bots are on MALAZAN EMPIRE . MOTHERFUCKING COMMMMMMM!

Y’all just had a Republican say his Greenland thing is dumb and used the term Impeachment It’s still not good enough. I must tar and feather myself.

I haven’t taken a single fucking penny from any thing/org/SSN since working last in 08 so don’t say I’m in that group or faking to not work. I’d gladly trade you my legs for even an hour homie. I’ve never even considered remarrying/gf because I have no job and I have stated through out the years that it tears me apart I will never be able to give my offspring anything now except the joy juice that made them all while hoping they don’t develop this same condition. I’d be dead already if it wasn’t for my old man and once the day comes that he is gone I’m writing letters then taking a drive to go see a mountain in the Rockies for once in my life then I’m putting a bullet through my dome. One less Nazi though so hurrah!

This is what I took issue with BK.

Macron did not cause this.

Trump did.

his cabinet of toadys did.

Every single republican who has not actively tried to remove him did this.

Steven Miller and his dumbass wife posting shit on twitter or wherever of Greenland being the 51st state "soon" and not being fucking shredded for it did this.

EVERY SINGLE DAY this administration is not fucking torn down for every law, domestic and international, they break, every convention they ignore is doing this. Republicans, their government, their administration, not Bidens, not the crooked Dems, not the new world order.

This Fucking president and his team. Their tariffs are raising your day to day bills. No one else. They started this shit.

And standing by them in the face of all the blatant facts boggles my fucking mind man.

Like totally boggles my mind, you're smart enough to see this

The EU coalition mission wouldn't be necessary if the current sitting president of the USA was threatening to forcibly annex an EU territory via invasion.

Let's turn the question around. Why is the USA threatening to invade an EU territory? Why is the USA seeking war against Europe?

I wonder if BK is just desperate for anything to avoid thinking about the fact that his party is doing everything in it's power to protect pedophiles and this his president is a child rapist con man. Must be hard to deal with.

I'm what world anyone thinks that the republicans would do anything to prevent trump in any way I don't know. They're the most pathetic spineless fascist enabling cowards I've ever seen.

But they have a good propaganda wing I guess.

Listen, we all know BK is a Republican, and we should take into account that his media consumption is likely coloured as such. He does not have the benefit of being on the other side of the Atlantic like Maark, Tiste, Mac and myself, nor has the media diet of Amph or QT.

I mean, I open Substack and I am bombed by badly written left wing blogs that are just as much into conspiracy theories on the same level as pizza gate - that too is a subscriber based industry that thrives on ever more outlandish claims (DJT snuff movies).

No wonder BK picks up the alternative fact PoV on the EU sending a symbolic mission to Greenland being Macron trying to break NATO.
We need more of QTs 200% tariff posts, less pile ons, or the part of the world we live in will be still split between two irreconcilable sides of 40% of the population each with 20% in the middle who vote the other way when change doesn’t come the way they like it.

I think we’re all so frustrated by what is happening and how fast it is going, how quickly reason goes out of the window and, certainly in my case, how spineless the political opposition/ the EU is in response.

that we are losing sight of this being a discussion board, where someone like BK used to be welcome to bring his interpretation of events.

Anyway, BK, it’s not that Macron or anyone in the EU is trying to blow up NATO. The entirety of the continent relies on NATO being effective and it being around has been a major reason in the EU never taking its own security organisation very seriously as NATO already did a great job of it - and included integration of the US.
For example, the role of the EU militaries was to hold of the until the US could land its equipment and major divisions in the continent - so many Atlantic countries stopped investing in anything but a token Navy - only keeping around what they had and to assist the US elsewhere (as in the Gulf War). If NATO blows up, the EU will have to rebuild from scratch. The EU is not going to garrison Greenland much - rather, a symbolic presence, just like the US sending observers to a conflict, or the Canadian consulate for Greenland, is a “do you really want to do this?” sign to show Trump this is not just Denmark, but everyone who is anything in Europe, including the UK.

Great post Tapper.

Apologies if my posts come off as attack attack. Its probably more borne of frustration of the news cycle (which undoubtedly is bias, just not to the extent of the US) and my constant in ability to understand my Uncles die hard Republican attitude, when everyone else in his family is aghast at what is happening over there.
