Not going to do this tonight.

Going to play some video games, go to bed early, get up and go to work tomorrow.

The world will still be here tomorrow.

Hopefully the world will still be here tomorrow.

'As you can see, Trump is doing way, way better than 2016 in Hispanic and Cuban areas. He's also doing better in majority black precincts. Biden *is* doing better in older and relatively white areas, as you can see. But not by much--and that doesn't cut it in diverse FL'

'And I will remind everyone that the 2018 race did kind of had a similar pace to this, where Florida didn't come through for Democrats and then... slowly but surely it turned out it was basically what we thought everywhere else'

Florida > 95% chance of Trump with estimated 91% reporting....

Biden currently 77% (of votes) in Pennsylvania with 8% reporting. Trump 21%.

I want to say that after 4 absolute dumpster fire years of the worst presidency ever in your country...it should be nowhere near this close a race.

That millions still voted for this utter monster is astonishing.

Was dismayed when I saw Biden's unexpected (?) early lead in Pennsylvania now down to 51% of votes, then I saw Jorgensen (Libertarian) at 4% and laughed.

His vitriol speaks for millions of people who feel like they have been silenced from saying what they want to say. Who are tired of being forced to be "politically correct."

Most people I'm around put on a fake tolerance for people. They really don't give a shit about you, or me, or anyone else. Especially if you aren't similar to them. Empathy is dead in America.

Long live the self. Fuck everyone else. I've got mine, am going to get mine, or will get my rocks off by denying you what you want.

From a hillbilly I heard in the gas-station: "Fuck your feelings! Trump 2020!"

"Make American Great Again! Just like 1855!"

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Pennsylvania flipped with 27% reporting.

Is it gonna keep flipping like Florida?

@538 - they gave trump a 1/4 chance in 2016 and a 1/6 in 2020

30% in 2016, 10% in 2020.

Hmm must have updated in the past week or so, I though all polls were relatively stable.

I'll just leave that there for continuity, but you are correct on the 2020 stats.

I believe the polls were stable. 538 has the tendency of polls to tighten closer to the election (and a few other things) baked into their model. No change in the polls prior to election day improved Biden's odds according to their model.

Philadelphia will keep counting mail-in ballots 24 hours a day... with definite updates at 9 AM and 3 PM. So they might wait until 9 AM.

Trump was expected to have a large lead today from in-person election day votes. Biden's early lead was primarily from Philadelphia and Pittsburgh counting mail-in votes quickly.

Trump might tweet victory at 3 AM, only for his lead in PA to evaporate at 9 AM....

'Jonathan Tamari

@JonathanTamari
25m [ago]
There are still 2.2m mail ballots to be counted in PA - about 87% of the total.

Settle in.
Jonathan Tamari

·
24m
And the 3 largest counties in PA have all counted less than 25% apiece.'

Trump takes it. Going to be interesting 4 years.

I’m sure we will all be waiting on those Pennsylvania results for awhile.

Have a good night you all!!

Had to edit for good measure.

Uhh, these are not the poll results I was hoping to wake up to. How are so many people willing to vote for this clown?

- There's two parallel realities that I will never understand.

- What's happening with QAnon candidates?

- Colorado has an informed citizenry and flipped the senate seat to (D) Hickenlooper. What a radical idea - if your ( R) senator rubber stamps everything Trump pushes through, vote them out of the seat. Some backstory on Hickypoo though. He was governor of Colorado, so probably had some comfort/familiarity minds at ease from that, and Gardner went full on asshole smear campaign on him, google pastor Promise Lee. Sort of backfired in his face.

Despite all the mail in ballots and talk of delayed results pretty much everything is getting called fairly early.

Why does everyone think pensylvania especially will take so long?

From what I can tell it's all very much still an open race. I mean in a sane world trump would never have got close to the presidency in the first place, let alone being so close after 4 awful years.

Still a large number (more than 2 million) mail-in ballots to count.

Republican state legislature refused to allow them to start counting mail-in ballots before election day.
