I saw pictures of the plastic dividers. Might as well not be there. Though it signals that team trump lost. Not that we need a reminder there is a pandemic but now there is a reminder on the set

So far Pence is winning. Superior debating strategy. He ducked mishandling covid very well and rephrased the attacks of Kamala distrusting his administration as her distrusting the strength of the American people. He is winning the exchanges. The fact checkers might have a field day afterwards but for now he comes across as winning
Okay Harris is warming up and I think Pence just torpedoed himself on abortion. An issue the majority of Americans are pro choice.
And pence keeps digging.whose votes is he trying to win over

'Trump Says It's a "Blessing" He Got COVID Cause He Found a "Cure"
According to Trump, it was his own suggestion, not that of his doctors, that he take the Regeneron treatment. He told viewers he planned to authorize the drug for treatment, a designation the Food and Drug Administration would make rather than the president. "You're gonna get [the Regeneron antibody treatment] free," he said. "It's a cure. I walked in, I didn't feel good, but a short 24 hours later I was feeling great. I walked out of the hospital. That's what I want for everybody. I want everybody to be given the same treatment as your president because I feel great. I feel perfect. I think it was a blessing from God that I caught it. This was a blessing in disguise." He said the military would handle the distribution of the drug.'

I wonder if you couldn't start to do this with modern AI already.
CNN, NBC, Reuters or what ever have databases of ready to use clips for their news segments. It surely wouldn't be that hard for a robot to identify statements that it deems to be true or false, based on prior reporting and analysis and then query a database in a split second for the right sound bite or video clip.

I know it’s trump and it’s been almost 4 years but the president calling for his political opponents to be locked up and prosecuted on Twitter. Should that not be getting more coverage?

Why thats what he did the last time as well. I'm surprised he hasn't tweeted that someone should rid him of these turbulent politicians.

Yeah. In 2016 my next door neighbor (apartment building) was shouting 'lock her up!' loud enough for me to hear it through the walls on election night. Thing is, even with AG Barr, Trump doesn't seem to have made any substantial moves towards prosecuting or jailing his political opponents, aside from pseudo-investigations. Inside sources report that the justice department has kept telling Trump he can't do that. But if it looks like Trump will transition from rhetoric to actual prosecution or imprisonment, people will lose their shit....

I genuinely hope the CIA has a solid plan in place to assassinate Trump and his collaborators if he attempts to jail Biden or unilaterally nullify the election with military or militia forces.
Though we are at risk of being like the proverbial slow-boiling frog, as Trump keeps nudging the Overton window towards defenestration....

Whut?
Ok, moving past the "gank the sitting President" thing, what makes you think the CIA is the entity that wants peaceful transition of USA administrations, has the leadership that wants this, or even should be doing this at all to anyone?

If Trump were less volatile, more willing to follow the advice of the intelligence community, and not deeply in debt to interests most likely controlled by Putin, perhaps the CIA would be fine with Republican autocracy. But Trump, if he can manage to overcome technocratic refusals to do his unlawful and dangerous bidding, is a potential major threat to US national security.
Granted, the CIA apparently hasn't been nearly as involved in assassination attempts on world leaders since the 1970's.
But an assassination or set of targeted strikes might be cleaner than having the military try to move in on Trump and take him alive. If the military removes him from office but he remains alive, his armed followers could rally for an attempt at civil war.

Shockingly long vote early line in conservative Hoosier land. A month before election.
Motivation on both aisles but lots of white suburban women here. That's generally a good sign. Won't matter for president but may in confessional and definitively in state elections.
About 1.5 hour wait.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

How do conservative Hoosiers feel about Pence these days?
