Pretty much, their momentum would be great. Though I worry about Sanders. Hopefully he stays healthy and alive long enough to get Warren into the White House.

Trump got a feather in his cap, bagged a really bad dad. Of course the dummy has to use language that will only incite. The rinse and repeat 24 hr. news cycle is dominated by the operation leading to the death of ISIS head - al-Baghdadi.

'Baghdadi's death may merely drive "the remaining ISIS forces into an alliance with al-Qaida"—which has experienced a bit of a revival in recent years. [...] the militants in both al-Qaida and ISIS "regard their struggle as divinely ordained," so "the death of a mere mortal"—even one as charismatic as Baghdadi or bin Laden (who, at the time of the raid on his compound, was much more powerful)—"is inconsequential."

[...]

When Obama appeared on nationwide television, for nine minutes, to announce bin Laden's death, some Republican critics denounced him for what they saw as his self-congratulation. Trump tweeted at the time, "Stop congratulating Obama for killing bin Laden. The Navy Seals killed bin Laden."

Cut to seven years later, almost to the day, and, in his 50-minute Sunday-morning news conference, not only did Trump take credit for killing Baghdadi, he reveled in the act, describing the terrorist leader as "whimpering and crying and screaming all the way" as special forces and dogs chased him to the end of a tunnel, where he detonated a suicide vest, killing himself and three of his children, dying "like a dog…like a coward."

[...] Trump's repeated claims that he'd destroyed ISIS already may have blunted the killing's political impact.

Finally, and most puzzling, following his announcement, Trump repeated his claim that U.S. troops control Syria's oil fields (which is untrue) and that he might invite companies like ExxonMobil to come in and drill (which they have neither the legal right nor the remotest desire to do).'

I think the US should stay the hell out of other countries and their business, but if directly asked for help....

....but especially when it's a situation like with the Kurdish People that we caused in the first place.

The US is notorious for colonialism, but France and the UK share in some of the history of Syria, and Iraq that divided people into countries using screwed up borders.

I think it was messed up that either of them, Trump or Obama, thought it was right to play up the killing of anyone, even in retribution.

I've got to admit, after seeing that Trump and Melania were handing out entire plates of chocolate to the kids during Halloween, my opinion of them has increased exponentially.

I dunno, what if it's Trump brand chocolate?

"My chocolate will give you *the* best diabetes. The best. Guaranteed. Other brands try, but their diabetes is nowhere near as great as ours. It is huge. You will piss sugar water. It will be great water. I will build a wall between us and Mexico to stem the water. We will have none of that cheap knock-off Mexican piss. Or Chinese. We will build a wall around China and flood them with our chocolate. Only the greatest American sugar water will lap our shores. We will make chocolate great again. I eat it myself. It is great. Huge. I have lost my train of thought. Thank you."

Trump's brand is Mocklate, it crumbles in your mouth and doesn't have FDA approval yet.

Considering it’s “what evil must taste like”, you’re probably right.

House passed the Impeachment Inquiry thingie. Not a single R 'Yea' vote.

Republicans a few days ago: You can't do all this behind closed doors! You're keeping secrets and lying! This should be public!

Democrats: Okay, we'll make it all public then.

Republicans today: Um no....we are not going to vote to make it public. NAY!

Like this is the chart that every single person should now hold up whenever any R goes on the news....

Also, the optics of Scalisi using "Soviet Style Proceedings" unironically is....man, if that's not PEAK projection, I'm not even sure....

Aw man, the presidential race just got less interesting. Beto dropped out. I'm sad we'll hear no more f-bombs. Because f-bombs make everything sooo much better and saying them really drives home the point that you mean business and are serious. Also, with Beto out, how am I going to learn shitty Spanish? 'Mark Zuckerberg's fascination with Augustus Caesar might explain the Facebook CEO's haircut

[...] "My wife was making fun of me, saying she thought there were three people on the honeymoon: me, her, and Augustus. All the photos were different sculptures of Augustus"

[...] Zuckerberg and Chan also named one of their daughters August.

That admiration may be why Zuckerberg's hairdo closely resembles the "Caesar" haircut, though the style is actually named after Julius Caesar.'
