I was reading about a Hillary Clinton interview the other day. She made two predictions I thought was interesting.

One, as soon as the primaries are over, Trump is just going to fire who ever he wants and generally be free to act ever more crazy for two years.

The other prediction was more disturbing. What happens if Trump runs for a second term, or a different GOP candidate does, Trump loses or doesn't like the results and subsequently refuses to acknowledge the loss? What happens if he refuses to step down and he calls the election rigged, etc?

Surprised none of y’all mention Rosenstein yet.

There are too many ways this can go right now to talk intelligently about this.

Follow Pete Williams's reporting on this. He's able to parse the pro Trump leaks and spins plus get his own sources from other places that don't have as bad spin.

So far, he's reporting that Rosenstein is going to make them fire him.

As he should. If he resigns then Trump can appoint whom ever he wants as acting. But if he is fired then it falls the the solicitor general until an appointment is able to get approved by the senate.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

Francisco is a bad guy too, so this might not be a good result even if the worse result is that Trump and Sessions get to appoint whoever they want to oversee Mueller.

They are meeting on Thursday. Most likely a whole lot of nothing. If he was going to fire him he would have done it by now. Now I am seeing that he requested the meeting.

It also sounds like Noel Francisco also has a major conflict of interest in overseeing the Mueler probe as well, in that his previous firm is the one representing Trump in the Mueller investigation?

Can this be more fucked up? Also, if Fransisco can't oversee....and Rosenstein is fired...who takes that mantle then? Trump can only appoint one himself if Rosenstein resigns, right?

I believe Trump will just step in and take over.

Because why not?

Except that's not how this works.

Trump loudly thumped the table with his child like hands and screamed "But I'm the President!"

If you have enough evidence to tell the senate they won't be doing their due diligence if they ask the nominee how may gang rapes he participated in I can't imagine what more you need

I watched a woman I went to K-12 with (she was one year ahead), then went to law school with (I was one year ahead) on Fbook say that Dr Ford, Ms Ramirez, and the others are just Democrat pawns and that these are lies not brought up in the proper venue.

This *woman* still buys into the GOP line hard enough that this sexual assault situation involving *other women* doesn't convince her that Kavanaugh should not be on the Supreme Court.

She's the daughter of a man who was the county GOP party chair for a stretch. This is "her team" and it "needs defending from people like this".

This article preceded the coming forward of Kavanaugh's subsequent victim(s), but it pretty much tells you all you need to know about why the GOP is not just sticking by this guy, but doubling down on him: https://theconcourse...hind-1829225731

Like I said, they know he did it and they don't care.

But I wasn't even entirely right. They do care, to the extent that, like the article describes, they have to prove that it doesn't matter.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

So Kavanaugh is now claiming that he was a virgin until after college. He's not even trying to hide his dishonesty...

As a devout Catholic, he would never betray his faith by breaking his vow of chastity until marriage. 'How dare you question his faith!' What are they going to do next, accuse priests of rape?...

'A possible fourth person has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, Maryland law enforcement officials told a Maryland newspaper.'

Seen somewhere on the internet: "This weekend, The Predator came ahead of The Nun which is incidentally the same way the Catholic church protects people" or words to that effect.

His high school yearbook has him and at least 12 other boys saying they are "Renate Alumni". Renate is the first name of a woman who actually signed the letter supporting him and what they meant by alumni of her was that they had hooked up with her (what definition of hooked up is unclear now).

Renate has now withdrawn her support of him.

That's how toxic this guy was as a near child and he's still toxic today.
