Also, I voted. YAY. This thread has become such a fixture, it kind of feels weird that it's about to be over...

Over? What the hell are talking about?
Santorum 2016!!

I would really like to see the GOP learn some lessons. But I bet they're going to decide that the reason they lost was because they were not conservative enough.
Dems picking up Senate seats just floors me.

All I want from Obama is some Supremes who will overturn Citizen's United and throw out the PATRIOT Act. Well, I want more than that but I'd settle for that.

Dear Fox News etc.

Look at the scoreboard. Read it and weep, you fucktards. Your tears are delicious! :)

Trouble is, the deadlock continues and now the GOP will redouble their efforts to make sure Obama gets absolutely NOTHING passed during this term, so the can poison the chalice for the next Dem. Obama could introduce a bill that would reduce unemployment to 0.5%, eliminate the debt, bring peace to the Middle East and cure cancer, but those c**ts would still kill it. :)

EDIT: Going by those Twitter vows mentioned earlier, looks like Unnzud is going to have a massive surge in gun-toting, bible-thumping redneck immigrants. Unlucky, bro'.

Romney's about to call out the lawyers for Ohio, and probably Florida and Virginia.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Civil war at Fox News as Karl Rove goes rogue to rebuke the channel for calling Ohio, forcing them to interrogate their own statisticians.

He's still pissed that they called Ohio in 2008 while he was in the middle of giving his speech about how McCain needed to win Ohio.

Ohio's actually swung back to Romney, albeit with some 20% of the vote still to be counted. In any case, it will be extremely close there in the end.

The reason they were confident enough to call it is because much of that 20% comes from the county that gave Obama his largest margin by far in 2008.

Yep, I'm aware. But I was going for an Obama win there by over 3.5% - I don't think that will happen now.

Congratulations, World. Obama to be re-elected. This is good for the entire world, imo, and you can't know just how happy I am. I was truely worried to the state of affairs if Romney had won, and it would have embarrassed us as Americans even worse than we normally do.

GG Obama!

Best Comment I've seen so far (from another board)

I look forward to the Republicans gracefully accepting defeat and moving forward to work with President Obama on addressing the nation's problems.

Shes down to a 120 vote lead and they still have something like 20% votes to count.

I love that Romney is currently well within the Gary Johnson margin in Ohio right now...and nationally. :)
