There is nothing to worry about. Nobody in the world saw what Russia did in the 2016 election. Plus all of the other countries in the world love us and don't want to destroy us.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

These dumb lumps of human wreckage are still stuck on the "Mexico isn't paying for it like he promised" line instead of "The Wall is a moral abomination and monument to white supremacy that should never see the light of day." What leadership!
If they fight it, that's a good thing for sure -- though I'd wager the bulk of the fight will be through watchdog groups like the ACLU -- but I swear the only reason to support these people is that the Republicans are even worse.

Only an idiot wouldn't understand that by renegotiating the trade deal with mexico to a new identical trade deal with mexico (except with a giant sharpie signature), mexico are paying for the wall indirectly. They pay American businessmen, who sometimes pay taxes, which fund the federal government, which pays for the wall!
The wall is then a giant infrastructure project which stimulates the countries cement and steel industry, then the US can have a boom industry in exporting ladders and ropes to mexico! We all win!

Funny, sad, it is a narrow divide.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

I'm watching Trump's emergency thing. It's a political car crash but at least the press are hammering him. Or trying to it's hard to make a real dent in a humanoid turd.

Well, to be fair, it wasn't Russia.
It was Facebook and all those other IT liberals letting their creation run loose.
Why blame the hand wielding the tool, when you can blame the tool creators?

I saw the aclu is suing trump. Did the man really say in his speech that he has. More. Money than he know what's to do with for. Border Security and that it's not really an urgent emergency he just. Wants to move faster?

I didn't hear of the "more money than" part but he did literally say he didn't need to do this but wanted to move faster, so...yeah. He also said he talked to some generals (unnamed) and they told him that the money allocated to their military operations would be better spent on the Wall, and also they told him specifically what those military purposes would be (though he didn't want to go into detail during the press conference) and he agrees with them that the Wall would be a better use of money.

I didn't need to do this ≠ National Emergency.
It's a non-starter if you ask me, but things are wacky with the assholes inside the D.C. beltway, so who knows, it could still happen (and set a really fucked up precedent).

I don't think Trump actually cares about the wall. He just needs to convince his voters that he's doing everything he can to get the wall built.
It doesn't matter if the emergency gets held up in red tape as long as Trump can say he tried but the bad people in DC prevented him from making America great.

'the law doesn’t matter to him. What matters is his judges, and his justices, and the buck stops there [...] Last summer, when the Supreme Court was considering the Muslim ban, five justices looked past Trump’s campaign statements and the tweets and the winking comments and found that the president had the legal authority to enact it. In dissent, Justice Sonia Sotomayor was furious at this willful blindness: “Rather than defend the President’s problematic statements, the Government urges this Court to set them aside and defer to the President on issues related to immigration and national security. The majority accepts that invitation [...] Our Constitution demands, and our country deserves, a Judiciary willing to hold the coordinate branches to account when they defy our most sacred legal commitments. Because the Court’s decision today has failed in that respect, with profound regret, I dissent.” [...]
Donald Trump’s emergency declaration isn’t popular and isn’t necessary and—as he admitted himself this morning—isn’t even an emergency. His one play, his only play, is his confidence that the smash-and-grab appointment of federal judges he has spearheaded will remain popular with Republican senators. His constitutional violation may prove unpopular and even unconstitutional, but it doesn’t matter if his judges will someday bless it. The president just announced—and announced out loud, on television—that he would flout the will of Congress and win at the Supreme Court because the justices there let him do what he wants.
The integrity and authority of the judicial branch is eroded every single time Donald Trump puts an unfit jurist on the bench. It’s further eroded when he announces that an entire federal circuit is corrupt and biased. But when he stands and promises that he has the current Supreme Court in his pocket, so nothing really matters, that might be the greatest threat to the legitimacy of the judiciary, period. And if that high court ultimately stands by and rubber-stamps his fake data and tawdry impresario “invasion” porn, the real national emergency will be at the court, not the border. '
