It certainly is not inviting to new players (those outside of the cult, at least) to have a game completely filled before they can inquire as to playing.

Yep. But this practice of signing up nearly an entire game before it's released to the rest of the forum is what I'm referring to. Doesn't seem new player friendly.

You want me to run one? Espers is ready but hard-capped at 14, so since there seems like lots of interest I can almost certainly have Ambience ready by Monday. No limit to the number of players!

I think I agree with HD, actually. I'm not so much a fan of the premade list thing, but I'm not sure how to handle it. PEN talked about the next game in the PM, and I compiled a list of who was playing. When I figured out there were already a ton of people from just within the usergroup, I got a bit excited and made a list to see if we could get 20.

If a newbie wants to play, I will forever and always give up a spot. I play every game I don't mod, so I definitely wouldn't mind it. In fact, the PEN people are new, which may be why I got excited.

Whichever way the ruling goes, Tats will always be first on my lists. Heh.

Edit: It was never my intent to make the list an actual thing, I like people to post on the sign up thread. My spot for Tats is an allusion to his "ever present" title, and I try to make exceptions to the rule for people like Venge who can't be on over weekends when sign ups tend to happen.

I 87.5% agree.
Sign-up is sign-up, and for smaller games, seeing a list of 15 people coming in the OP when your game can accomodate only 14 for example is kind of shitty since you'll have to slash someone straight away rather than being able to accept 14 sign-ups.

Time zones and weekends can be a bit of a pain, but few games fill up in 2 hours time - they do so because across various time zones and various days, people in SH mention they're up for another game.

I'm in too, although I want to play every game i have the same thoughts as shin, it shouldn't be auto sign up, I like hunting for the sign up sheet and trying to get signed up before there isn't any room left

I want to be first but I admit I have to sign in to be first. I will miss a possible two games at the end of may beginning of june due to my honeymoon Florida!! I will be buying these. You may dislike me forever more now
