That's got to be a shoe-in with an improbability drive - can't wait to see Dragnipur get changed into a bunch of daffodils

TQB....ASSEMBLE

For the glory of Quick B....wait...I guess TQB is voting up Rake this time?

Im not changing my name to Mac Daddio of TAR...that would be silly

Instead we will win using the essence of TQB, the spirit of TQB, the borderline disturbing fixation of TQB...

Its on like Donkey Kong motherfucker

It would be interesting to find out who chooses the characters and why they pick particular ones?

The Suvudu guys do the picking, and it's usually based on fan requests/suggestions. I think none of the TQB folks are surprised it's Rake this year - his name was bandied about quite often last year.

I guess its Anomander winning with Tyrion smiling how well he played it (playing dead against Thomas:)).

weatherwax vs rake im sorry but headoloogy beats dragons plus the stare :D

other than that rake all the way!

If it weren't Rake I might agree. But the man has too many plans of his own and already knows too much. He doesn't need to listen listen to anyone. And he kept it all together for him and much of his race through hundreds of millenia, not to mention the strain of carrying Dragnipur. I can't see even headology being enough to overcome someone who's put up with that level of psychological pressure.

Also, neither of them like fighting unless it's necessary. It'd start with neither one looking threateningly at the other, then they'd just sit down to some tea until they were allowed to leave. I'm sure they'd have the patience to outlast whoever was keeping them there :p

I imagine their matchup going somewhat like the poison-cup scene from the Princess Bride.

Weird that Rothfuss' Bast is in the ranks. He really has yet to show what he is capable of... It seems he's a just dudefairy, who can do some impressive stuff (or so Kvothe claims).

If you are referring to Terez's desire to see the final match turn into a Mills & Boon novel featuring Rake and Moiraine you'll need to keep in mind that Terez is a true blooded WoT fangirl with unexpected good taste when it comes to reading other authors.

...I want to write a Rake versus Moiraine fight. I'll add it to the list.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I think Anomander Rake vs. Granny Weatherwax would just end up being them sitting around having a nice chat.
Laseen did nothing wrong.

I demand Telorast & Curdle plushies.

Also, we will be reviewing applications to TQB in the coming months.

Team Quick Ben will not be taking on any new members. Exceptions may be made for an individual who can demonstrate unfaltering loyalty and reverence for Quick Ben - we're talking a massive demonstration i.e naming your child Quick Ben or penning 'Quick Ben' on the Great Wall of China etc. They would also need two current TQB members to sponsor their application and then a majority vote of TQB members would be needed to secure membership.

I didn't realize that there were such stringent admission standards.

All semi-secret societies have them. Besides, originally the admission requirements included proof that you adequately showed your support during the 2011 Cage Match - at least these standards allow newcomers to apply. :D
