But yeah, fairly odd list, imo. On the one end we've got literal God-Tier characters (Rake, etc) and on the other we have...unpowered mortals with no unique skills (Gimli? O.o). Yeah...>.>

They pretty much took care of that just before the end last time, didn't they? In any case, WoT fans might surprise you in what they would be willing to do for Moiraine. Not that I'm making threats, or anything. Just saying. (WoT and Malazan spoilers)

There is a lot of fandom hype about what she's going to do in the last book, and fangirls like me cried when she came back. But then, I cried when Rake died. And I still cry sometimes when I read Moiraine's POV where she takes out Lanfear. I haven't read past Rake dying, by the way...I need a reread.

Rake will won obviously, but if Tomas calls in a dragon it would get interesting

Any Rake/Moiraine fight is going to go one way only. He takes her out for a balconytop meal on Moon's Spawn to wine and dine her in the most erudite and sophisticated manner, before he sticks his Dragnipur in-saidar Pit of Doom then goes saidin on her Eye of the World via the Taint. Brandon and Steve should get together and make it happen.

There are very few of them I'm familiar with, Rake, Tomas, Rahl, Tyrion and....sigh....Potter.

Of these, only Rake and Tomas are truly powerful. Rake being who he is of course and Tomas being who he is. Rahl is powerful, certainly, and he'd annihilate Potter in an instant, but I just don't see him measure up to either Rake or Tomas. With those two I can see it go both ways. Yes, Rake is insanely powerful, but so is Tomas (before he was nerfed)

Yet somehoe I suspect that it'll go to Tyrion...

Rake, Kellhus, Tomas, Moiraine with an angreal/s'angreal and Rahl are the power houses in this. Rake is the most powerful of course but the other characters are up there.
