Every now and again I'll have to wait to get the game onto the server...longest queue has been 30 mins but normal, when it happens, it's about 10 mins. I have seen hour-long queues for some servers, but aside from that there haven't really been any 'problems' at all.

Lot's of people seem to be complaining about bugs and crappy customer service (which I bet is currently drowning right now so...). I've also heard about people who bought it off Origin only to get charged twice and EA just shrugged when they heard it and even some people who bought the physical copy and it arrived either without the DVD, the password or both. I have no idea what's up with that. Oh and apparently the fine print on the contract you sign allows EA to randomly scan you for cheats, hacks, recording programs etc. Sigh, I really want this game to succeed so I'm praying EA doesn't fuck it up royally.

Well I guess I'm going to play Kotor i and II (with the mod that fixes it) while I wait.

Occasionally there are some freaky bugs...eyes that go silver or turn into horrifying black pits, for example, though once I got a helmet, I stopped noticing it. Also, as of yesterday, my legs get stuck so I glide everywhere and also, the animation for one of my abilities (not the ability itself) gets stuck so I run around for a minute or so with blaster bolts firing from my knees but doing nothing.

Apart from those, I've had no real problem...just have to see what they've put in the box (or not) when it arrives.

That's not a bug. That is working as intended. Fucking laser knees all up in this bitch.

Oh god the urge to buy this game is rising. I will wait untill I come back from my Christmas visits to see if I cave.

Yeah, well, I joined WOW on its opening day and there was a kind of magic to experiencing this new world for the first time with thousands of other people. There is a kind of joy in that exploration that WOW is missing now. It would be fun to recapture it with TOR.

Seriously...it's still not arrived. I've also checked on Origin where it's says that I have no past orders and no pending orders...I have no order history with them. WHERE'S MY GAME, GADDAMNIT?

EDIT: There also seems to be no way to contact them about the issue. This is pretty shit.

Weeeeee! Been playing for a bit—the Dune Sea on Tatooine is pretty cool, the only disappointment is that, unlike in WoW, you don't get the footprints and the spray when you walk on sand or snow. :D

Niman Server! Give me (Yedan) or Gothos (Glokta) a shout when you get it and get on. Three down...we just need one more person for a guild.

Are you playing Light or Dark Side? I kind of want to start out Light because I have trouble playing bad guys in true rpg settings. I'm too soft to be an asshole.

Playing Empire characters. Don't worry, though, you get light/dark side points for the decisions you make so you can still play a good guy Imperial. I have the same problem, so my bounty hunter has waaaay more light side points.

Gah I'm looking forward to getting this. I've seen enough praise in this thread to re-assure myself that the game is probably going to interest me.

I'll have to wait until the 28th to buy it though, as I am separated from my machine until after the holidays. I'm worried about dealing with origin, considering all the complaints and pathetic customer support. Still though, I know its going to happen regardless of my fears.

The game itself is not run through Origin as far as I understand. So no worries on that account.
