Had a Lettuce Wedge with Blue Cheese and Tomatoes for lunch instead of the Garlic Pork Chops and Rice I normally get.

Also carried my groceries up the stairs (7 flights) instead of using the elevator like I normally do for them.

PT this morning:

100 pushups
50 pushups on a medicine ball
100 situps
100 "bicycle" situps (where you have your hands behind your head and touch your elbows to your other knee as your legs make a cycling motion - harder than it sounds)
100 step-ups
100 leg lunges
50 squats
6 x 400m running laps

Thankfully, you can do them in any combination. I always start and end with 2 running laps, and in between the exercises are broken up into lots of 20-50, depending on how hard they are.

I did half an hour on the Wii Fit, which sound really pathetic compared to the above, but I have been ill and unable to exercise for almost 2 weeks and am still recovering so have to take it easy :)

As for diet, I am cutting out most carbs, and where I am having them sticking to wholemeal pasta etc etc. Lots of veges, smaller meals at more regular intervals and a lot of water. lost 3.2 kg in 2 weeks (then got sick and stayed steady with weight - ate badly). I am pretty pleased so far :)

in gym endurance test - as many full pushups as you can complete in 60 seconds.

65 for me. Which puts me in third place, only being beaten by a 19 and an 18 year old. Everybody else who's tried it is younger than me and worse than me :p

And I might have another go on Friday to see if I can take second place.

Depending on how much you tweaked it, working it loose may be a viable course of action. Massages from a non-professional or even a hot shower can help out.

On the positive side, the pack march this morning (in full Marching Order, which is cams, boots, full webbing and full pack) was only 2km. The downside is that it was at the fastest speed we could manage, which was either a slow jog or a fast shuffle, because we were in teams and the whole activity was timed. After the "run" we shed the packs and webbing, changed from boots to runners (which were in the packs) and then did 25 each of burpees, pushups, leg lunges, squat-jumps, crunches, situps, dips and 3-4 others I can't recall at the moment. All at a flat-out pace. Then we did them again. After that we loaded the packs on to a truck (thank gawd) and ran back in our webbing to the start/end point, where we had a short break then unloaded the packs.

My team came second, but that's basically because we all had full packs (20+kg, then the webbing is at least 7kg), as opposed to the other teams who for the most part only half-packed theirs. I know this because as we were unloading the packs we were astounded that we could throw theirs around basically one-handed. Not happy, Jan. Fucking dirty cheats. :p

Well it doesn't sound like a test, more like competitive PT.

But regardless. Time to put Icy-Hot in their PT uniforms.

Like Stormy said it wasn't really a test, just competitive PT. But we were asking the same thing, and rather loudly, when we were pulling the packs off the truck. Ah well, next time ...

I ate cake...for lunch. Had cake for lunch yesterday as well....oh gods, I'm weak! The shame...the SHAME!!!

Also, did some sit-ups and lifted some weights, and today I carried a box approx 10 metres. It was mediumly heavy. That should burn off all the delicious cake, yes?

Since i'm sure the cake was about a half inch squared, then yes.

Got tired of being on the treadmill at the gym so me and the ole lady have been doing sprints at the park across the street instead. Plus it tires the dog out, which is nice.

edit: When i say the dog, I mean an actual dog, not my wife.

I don't do exercise because it's tedious. Instead I decided to skip breakfast and dinner today, and replace them with beer and gin. That's the way to go!

Yay! I found my ice skates, so I could go to the public skating with my brother. I still can't stop reliably though.

Woke up at 12:00, had breakfast. Thirty minutes later I was in the gym. :D

It was purportedly a chest workout day (I was with the broseph) but I used the leg machines towards the end and some decent cardio, about three and a half kilometres in 15 minutes. Only been going there since last week or so but I've got a good feeling. ;)
