right i'm getting myself confused and karosis is warping it further. the point is that he sided with a faction rather than being neutral.

Kalse throwing Tiam out makes that interesting now that we know he was Outfit (or think we know, could be mole).

I meant that with one FBI and one Outfit lynched (making the factions equally-weighted again unless there's been some FM action), while obviously there's going to be urgency about being on a train, there is no real downside on ending up on either faction because they're both equally as strong right now. Of course, that could all change with the night actions. I'd prefer to lynch FBI next because that's the train I've been on, but I'm not hung up on it because I still think it's awfully hard to identify who might be on what faction, whereas it's, in theory, easier to identify someone who's probably non-town.

aah fuck i just realised that i WANT o be on that train anyways.
Because then it wouldnt matter who I lynch next, Outfit and i would be FBI or vice versa.

bugger.

so you are suggesting that you are an fbi member?

aaah sorry i missed this post.

No not at all....i was just initially pissed that i was not on the train because i was hoping to get an FBI lynch and then some winning conditions. I was just very hung up on a FBI cf coming up and missing out on this because silanah hammered right before i was going to.

And when it turned out to be outfit i was initially happier because I thought "well it didnt matter because i needed an FBI lynch to get outfit win conditions and it was Outfit so he saved me from getting it wrong."
I was also thinking i needed 2 of the same CF's in a row for some silly reason.

I had completely forgotten that being on an outfit lynch train was better than nothing! And would have given me options.
because now as it stands i need an FBI lynch or would potentially have to wait yet another day to get an alignment. I just hadn't realized this right at that time.

aaah yes you see you have forgotten what i did.

Its that if you where on this train too, you now would have options for the next lynch.
you could go for FBI or Outfit and you would get an alignment,

as it stands you are stuck with going for FBI like myself or face another day without win conditions.

Yep, I know it. But what's the rush really? If I'm on the next train and it turns out to be Outfit, yes I'll have to wait at least another day, but I'd have the option of both factions. Not to mention that by waiting at least another day, the relative strenghts of both sides should become more clear, meaning my decision to be on a particular train, rather than any that comes along, might be more considered, as I'll want to be on the faction which appears to have the strongest chance of winning. Ok, so it might have been good to be on both trains, but let me try and dig out some positives for not being so, alright? ;)

These people have been on both trains: Serc, Telas, Tellann, Silanah - don't care which faction is lynched next, unless they feel one will give them a stronger chance of winning than the other.

On the FBI train only: Shadow, Korabas, Korlat, Tulas Shorn, Tiamatha, Anthras (dead, and who turned out to be FBI): vested interest in having FBI lynched next.

On the Outfit train only: Alkend, Karosis, Anomandaris, Tennes, Atrahal, Korbas: vested interest in seeing Outfit lynched next.

Of course, there's bound to be some faction members on both trains as well as town.

Well i like to know where i stand ASAP... you know....so i can try and help my team win.
At the moment its kinda like we are in limbo and its a bit strange, you just want to lynch anybody and get on with it really.

anyone not on any train yet?
I would bet that if there is such a person that he doesnt really have a vested interest in lynches and has missed out as a result of being so lax.

ie not Town.

Out of those two, I'd have to go for Kessobahn. Thyrllan has just been too much of a non-entity. Kess strikes me as fitting the bill of being around, but not doing much more so than Thyrllan. But the one who have voted shouldn't be discounted - if anything, we should look at them more closely. As I said, there are guaranteed to be faction members on those trains.

well of course we cant discount the ones who have voted.

just thinking out aloud about them not being on trains is all.

needed to be mentioned...

korlat - your faffing both ways has me more worried than the slip up at the cf.

@korabas - cheers for the run down, was going to do one myself but am very busy. After the next lynch we are going to have a few people in the most likely one faction or the other group and out in the open too. Not sure how thats going to play out.

I mean you editted posts and over reacted to a gentle probe about your reaction to the cf.

the edit was a mistake.
i intended to click reply to my own post and I clicked edit button by mistake. Its not like i removed anything.

and i did all that before any "gentle probe". from anyone
it was all xposts and what not there old chap.

I simply got a bit excitable because i missed the lynch by so close with silanah getting in there while i was catching up the sneaky fucker!.
then i thought for a second I was vindicated as i wouldn't have gotten a second FBI train anyways.
AND THEN i realized afterwards that it would still have been better to be on the train and said as much too.

Its all there for anyone to see its not like i tried to edit it or take anything out.

bah....watever.

Tennes, unfortunately, was on both trains as well. I have corrected the above quote for you (my corrections in red). And here are the two lynch stats for reference below:

You and your boys didn't just roll a star market over in Malden for a box of quarters. No, you decided to bang it out on the North End at 9 o'clock in the morning with assault rifles. You fucking dummies shot a guard! Now you're like a half off sale at a Big & Tall - every cop is in line. Fortunately though, for you, this guard, who is two-thirds to a retard, has miraculously clung to life. Now, if it were up to me, and they gave me two minutes and a wet towel, I would personally asphyxiate this half-wit so we could string you up on a federal M1 and end this story with a bag on your head and a paralyzing agent running through your veins. This isn't fucking Tommy Hopscotch anymore. But I did wanna say one thing: You're here today so I can personally tell you that you are going to die in federal prison. And so are all your friends. No deal. No compromise. And when that day comes when you start trying to be my hero collaborator so hard that I have to slap you to shut up, and it will come. When your code of silence finally gives way to fear of trafficking in cigarettes to prevent sexual enslavement, I just want you to know that it's gonna be me who told you to go fuck yourself.

In order for you to be on a side you must be on a train. If you are not on 2 or 3 successful trains all game. Then depending on who you voted for during the game will decide what your winning conditions are.

It is locked in after two, but if you are on fewer than that and die you still get conditions.

Just to clarify - this is not the correct interpretation (Tellan had the right idea later on). If you die before you get any victory conditions, you lose - there is nothing awarded posthumously. If you survive to a certain point without being on enough lynch trains to get conditions that way, then we will assign you victory conditions based on the votes you have cast in the game up to that point.

And since Tennes helped create pages and pages of headache, I believe several of you missed this statement by PS, so I wanted to make sure it was in front of you once again.

I think this time, I will wait for night to resolve before going crazy with analysis. Hopefully that will happen before I leave for work, crossing my fingers, but glumly not expecting anything especially after what happened over the weekend...
