So again nothing definitive, especially as I can't be sure what faction they come from. Ruse, who was also in Yong An, might hold the key, if Ruse is Lu as I suspect. This is difficult.

However, if it comes down to my emperor dying or me dying, then it's all about the self-preservation

I don't think I'll be moving today. If Osseric is lynched, then my NAs will depend on the outcome of that CF. Silanah must still be in Yong An also, so if Osseric turns out to be the Yan Emperor, I'll be going after Silanah with a vengeance.

I'm supre glad the Fleet got used offensively to go around behind another kingdom rather than to defensively pull the Yan back to Jiang Xia/Eight Fan when Tennes got worried or something, but the timing seems silly considering all the Yan were already together in Yong An and had all just had broadcasted that Osseric was the enemy Emperor. If Osseric doesn't get lynched they'll have just lost the opportunity to kill him.)

Having just done a good Illumination 2 nights ago, plus the detailed reports and reports from the throne/field, this will set up the Yan to very nicely know each other if they can get another Illumination on themselves tonight.


Something else - this fleet move is great for the Ma Chaos - the BP opportunities waiting for them in Han Zhong won't get removed by a Yan getting there first.

as soon as you reach Han Zhong, you'll either be told you got a BP or that you didn't (and will never).

Wow, that fleet move really saves the Lu's bacon. Unfortunately I can't see Osseric not getting lynched today (he'd have to pull something spectacular to escape with so many people knowing who he is), but this gives them time to try and root out Okaros and his crew (although the fact that Okaros can self-heal makes him pretty much un-killable at night - it's far stronger than a BP. He would have to be guarded and killed on the same night for it to go through...not likely to happen). But if they can get Sheltatha Lore and Kaschan out, they may be able to survive while the Xia and the Yan kill each other.

The real winner from the fleet move has to be Sima Yi, though. Suddenly his potential recruitment pool is doubled! Tennes is beneath the radar enough that he's going to have recruited a mighty big faction by the time he comes to power...

Of course, the other fascinating thing about this is that the movement rules now prohibit any of the players in Luo Yang/Xin Du from EVER leaving until all of their enemies in those tiles are dead. They have no allies outside of those tiles to support them, and will never be able to get any there. At the moment, the Gongsun and the Xia factions are blocking each other from moving, and they will both block the Yan from getting any further than Luo Yang.

Now, provided that the Lu don't go charging in there as well (which is what Osseric was wanting to do ), they can just sit pretty and take potshots at the rebels in Tian Shui.

Sorry, Seppuku only in Japan. In 3K-China, it was more common to kill yourself by sending your army against an unbeatable target over and over again for years until they revolted, fled and you died of starvation/bandits.

You do realise that we may have caught an emperor Thryllan, and although investigating Meanas may be a good idea there is a chance we block the Usurper by lynching Osseric. I think that this is a special move by either the Yan emperor or the Yan PM. Hazarding a guess I would say that it could involve moving everyone who is Yan on a specific tile far from that tile and out of harms way. The other interesting thing is the name Liu Yao which is the name of the final emperor of the Han.

Anyway, I think the action on Osseric has pretty much broken the Lu faction. Thyrllan and Galain were both symping Osseric too obviously, and I think Ruse got fingered as a symp as well although he tried to distance himself. If the Ma Chao have any sense, they'll be able to target the Lu to extinction. Meanwhile Okaros will be able to hide behind his heal (and there probably won't be enough coordination to bring him down among the three remaining players, as Thyrllan hasn't been able to contact Ruse properly yet, and even if they do they'd still have to figure out that their kill attempts were failing due to healing).
