Isolde! You want in on this? we have an awesome slot for you titled Hood...

Marketing aside thanks! We should be able to meet the deadline. People are working at this fiendishly
Which I must say is freaking awesome ;)

EDIT: Grim I like the running theme, glad to know your sticking to it ;) I also think a minor text
field at the bottom might be necessary later to help people keep track of who's who in this zoo. ;)

Hi guys!
Dolmen: Dancer is sweet. But isn't there too many moons on the sky? ;)
Grim: You've really pushed the contrast on the back and pose is really badass. I'm not sure about musculature, it looks too "bulky". Here, check out this wonderful photoset http://characterdesi...epage=photosets I tried to find the same pose, but failed. Unless you've aimed for something like this: http://www.123rf.com...over-black.html but his arms are pushed backwards.

I demand a serious critique in return, tear me apart and I'll try my best to correct all faults. ;)

From my enormous knowledge of male anatomy: his pectorals are too high, and they make his abs look abnormally elongated. I love the pose and the expression on his face though :-D

LOL but I like my moons ;). I was thinking they'd be my little fragments of shadow...but youre right I got carried away ;)

Ok Fausti the gloves are off ;)

Firstly that chin needs to be more pronounced, match it to shadow lines about the ribs and pelvis for more consistency.

The shadow behind the chicken is your darkest colour yet in that corner you have your brightest light? this is a bit ambiguous. Id think you need to swap your Background around so the darker Shadows are away from your main light source. Ofcourse you could have two light sources but variation is important. imagine the room you have Tehol in and think of a window vs Lamp relationship, one light is white and cool(window) the other is yellow and warm (candle). the logic of a candle VS Daylight is off as usually one is present when the other isn't but the lesson still applies because of light refraction etc.

Your pose is great and I like the Sexy comedy about the entire thing, I'd however suggest you adjust his right leg more (redline). As it is, the balance is off and feels like he could fall over with a nudge from the righthand side. (Weight vs Anchor)

Heres a paintover to better explain what I meant..

All that is a suggestion though. Take from it what you will!

Haha, why am I not surprised that Hood would be the last to go? ;) I am practicing my Jagut skills though, not that that's a source of confidence atm. I'm just worried I'd butcher it and then you'd be short an illustration. How long do you reckon you'll need after all contributions are in to get it ready? Or simply, when is the deadline? ;)

We're thinking late November? Should give us enough time to put everything together for a New years release?

As far as I'm concerned anything you come up with will get in. If you struggle help will be there ;)

I was actually aiming for something a little more like this:

And although I know that's not a swordsman's body, I don't care. It is hawt! ;)

I like Tehol's face, but you should watch the area around his mouth. I don't think we'd see that much lip, actually, and his chin needs more shading to give it shape. Right now it looks like he's pressing his tongue agains the inside of his mouth.

And as a bonus a quick sketch of what I intend to do with Paran. Now I realized, that besides a deck of cards I have no idea how to make him look less generic. From what was written in the books, he must be in his late 20, about 30 max, not unpleasant to look at. Maybe instead of cards I should incorporate wonderful cards of our calendar? ;)

Sounds like a great idea to incorporate cards from the calendar ;) It looks like a good start too. I wish I could contribute with something distinctive about Paran's appearance but all I can offer is that, in my head, he is insanely hot. Kind of like a scruffy Ben Barnes...

I'm sure that was very helpful!

And I might take you up on one of those, but I'm not telling which it's going to be ;)

I almost regret already bringing this up, but male hair pattern on Tehol is feminine (the pubic thatch shoul probably blend up into his abdomen). Well, you asked for our opinions...

I don't know why you regret it, your point is valid and I'll add some hair here and there. It's one of those things you don't notice unless someone points it out. If you have anything more than shoot ;)

Very Nice Changes Fausti...

Can You explain the idea of Paran looking at the cards of our calendar Fausti?

If its what I think it is I'm think its better he look at the ladies calendar rather than the guys...just my opinion though.

Oooh we can have a cover lady doing the same for the ladies calendar! though I have no clue who
that lady would be. Maybe Tattersail/Silverfox?

another Karsa landed in the trash ... I'm going to hate him when this is over. I've started again, with more green, so it fits the month and that's it so far. I had him a little smaller at first, but it felt wrong. have made him bigger and I like it so far... I think I push the sword a little into the background.

This is awesome Nacht, Karsa looks cocky, Samar looks cryptic. Its a great composition. And better than the last in the story it tells.

I think the environment for June can easily be hot arid, hot humid or just plain hot so happy to see you adapt to that set up ;).
Will you give this a sweaty jungle vibe or am I just reading this wrong?

I thought of some kind of gardens (perhaps in Letheras), but the sweaty jungle vibe would look pretty good too and i could put some sexy sweat on his chest ;)

when I come to think of it - of course jungle

That looks really good nacht, I've never been fully happy with anyones Karsa before but this is pretty much exactly as i imagine him.
(I'm assuming you just haven't got round to doing the tattoo yet)

The only thing i really have to add is that I've always imagined his braid to be thicker.

Great work Posted Image

thank you SL, glad you like it. The braid will be a little thicker, haven't started with the details yet, the same for the tattoos. though I've done some on the face with little opacity on the last picture
