Well I'm off for (most of) the night. I'm not sure where to place my vote. I'll get on before day times out and make my descison at that point. Then it's off to bed for me.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Quick thought before I forget.
If the finder/killers only get three total kills between them and Meng Huo or any other possible scum doesn't have any night kill powers then I would suggest that our finders don't use their finds initially. We try to lynch Meng Huo to death 3 times and then let the finders do the dirty work the last three times or until our lynching him fails miserably and we are getting dangerously close to being mathmaticaly unable to pull of the win.

I'm sorry, but why shouldn't the finders investigate every night? It's not like there's repurcussions for them if they get it wrong, the number of times they can investigate only goes down if they get it RIGHT. And why wouldn't we want them to get it right?
I'm just talking strategy out loud. If the finders only have a limited number of kills then it's better to save them as long as possible. If we can kill scum without having to use those kills it will increase towns chances of winning. But on the other hand I see where doing finds and not finding Meng Huo would limit the number of players that we need to focus on to lynch. It's just, can the finder reveal themselves without opening themselves up to a possible night kill? And how reliable would a reveal be as someone could easily fake reveal and keep us away from who we need to be lynching.
AAAAHHHHHH!!!! I had a feeling when I first read up on this game that it was going to be very straightforward and easy to figure out. The more and more that I think about it the less and less I know which strategy to use in finding MH.
easy: vote, prod, accuse, and watch for reactions. same way you look for scum in any mafia game, lol
So what are my reactions saying?

Personally, I love Ment since we've been on the same team numerous times, so it pains me to do this, but I don't like how he went from being serious to twelve and being flippant at me for calling him on it. It seems too much like an attempt to deflect attention.

Well, I've got to go to bed, and I won't be back in time for day's end. Which means I have to decide about voting now. As my HiddenOne vote has garnered zero attention (is that a suggestion that my case is built on flimsy foundations?) I'll switch my vote to either twelve or Mentalist, as they both have two votes currently and so are most likely to get lynched.
And I do think now we should have a lynch, so I don't want there to be no lynch because I didn't swap my vote and not enough other people got on in time.
I can see what people have been suggesting about Ment's seemingly care-free, oh-noes-gots-to-be-serious now hat-swapping, but I think I'll go with twelve, mostly because he seems to have trouble letting the scum = killer thing go, and also because a few other people have jumped on him, and isn't this game all about bullying - right?

Gust, the OP says that the only info which is revealed to the finders is if they've found MH or not. I interpret that as, if they haven't, they get a PM along the lines of "this isn't MH", but with no other info, otherwise it would be way too easy for the town to then lynch the successor. That's also why once MH has been killed, people who've been investigated previously may have to be investigated again, as they could now be MH.
Edit: because it's too, and not to, stupid.

you know, the way i read it:
they do a find on MH--he dies
they do a find on someone else--nothing happens.

Not beyond I feel that twelve is targeted specifically, and I don't think he is scum. At this stage it seems too early to have a boner for someone, unless its meta which I'm trying to ignore. I realize this is fairly gut-based. Working hard to lynch someone so early just seems scummy.

Personally I have found twelves play erratic and unfocused. Much like a towny who doesn't care. Mental has been his usual commy self. Kell I had a good discussion with so I am disinclined to vote for him. Honestly right now the only people who ring any bells other then the ones I have mentioned are Kurt and The Hidden one.

When I did a re-read, twelve & Grief's posts caught my attention. I was ready to jump on the lynch wagon before, but during this time I developed the opinion that twelve might just be inno and Grief might be trying too hard to get rid of him. You were my other choice intially, but your change of vote made up my mind

You say I'm trying too hard to get rid of him, but don't really explain why this makes any sense at all from a scum perspective. Particularly considering our tendency to lynch the players that push on day one.
I also don't like this: "So much that I won't vote for him just to get a lynch". Outright refusal to vote for someone is something scum tend to do far more than innos, because it just doesn't work-all it does is delay the lynch.

This is such a clusterfuck. PS can you give us the vote count please? Also, still no sign of Roldom or ansible. Do we want to do a find on them and let them skate for now or just lynch one to see what they are up to or not?

I said you might be trying too hard. The scum perspective is if you know he's not one of your faction. Maybe that tendency is rubbing off on me.
I didn't refuse, just don't want to as things stand now , if the situation were different I would go against my gut, I have before. That means I'm not unconvincable. Besides, there are plenty of people available to make the lynch without my vote in this instance. I don't want to lynch him, then say, "Oh well I knew it" I would like to try to give my opinions as I can, I didn't want to just go and not do anything.

They are close to modkill, so anything we do to them is potentially wasted. Don't like that they could miss day one completely though.

Not really an issue for scum. The majority of players aren't scum, the odds are that it won't be scum lynched, particularly on day one. Scum might push a lynch to derail, or if they think the person is a threat, but just because the person is a different faction? Pushing like that just draws attention. If scum know that someone was inno, then being first on their train/heavily involved in the lynch is not usually a good place to be.
