Hello everyone,

Nice summary Emurlahn, though you forgot to mention that Ruse is starting to look at Tennes as well.

The Tennes thing is very interesting. You have Khell claiming that both Tennes and Mockra was in Jiang Xia on night 1/day 2 ( can't quite remember). Turns out Mockra was Meanas was Khell which makes sense why he refereneced Mockra. He was trying to save both of their butts. The question is why did he mention Tennes too? Well regardless of why he mentioned him the results have been pretty much everyone not Yan are probably assuming that he is either Yan but don't want to look like they are Yan hunting or Meanas/Mockra/Khell threw his name out there knowing that he isn't a member of Yan so Tennes might be a member of their own faction. The interesting part of this is that why aren't the members of Yan trying to lynch him? Either he is unknown to them as well or he is in fact their emperor and know not to start a case on him.

The question that I would like to pose to the rest of you if you were in Meanas's position would you ever put that kind of spotlight on your emperor just to save your own hide?

Hey all. It doesn't seem like much has happened over the weekend. I won't have much time to mafia for the next few days. I'll have a bit near supper tonight and an hour before bed. I'll see about bringing my laptop to the library, but I probably shouldn't. I gotta go, check back in later.

Probably not, HP. But since that's the easy answer, maybe it's why everyone seems to be second-guessing Khell looking for truth. I still say this is WIFOM.

I agree with shel, we can't think our way to a conclusion.

The question really is, do you think it's worth a lynch to investigate Tennes, or should we go after Karosis or Kaschan or someone else?

I'm not certain myself. I'm going to look back at some posts after class.

Not too sure about a tennes lynch.
I could go for kaschan...as he is just gliding by as a low poster/contributor.
just about forgot he was playing really.

Well, as it seems I am on the block for today I can get behind a Low poster lynch

vote Kaschan

that being said, if you do believe Khell that I was in Jang Xia on night one then it is extremely unlikely that I am a barbarian as they would have come from T. Shui or X. Du. this late in the game, and still no barbarian kill.. that's concerning. Imo, there are probably barbarian factions that are as big or bigger than some of the 3 kingdom factions. Not to mention the usurper...( who I still think is Telas) unfortunately, he seems to have had successful recruits as it seems no one is willing to give him a look.

Well I'm not going to make my own case today, my last couple haven't turned out well for the middle kingdoms. So someone else get going. I don't personally want a repeat of yesterday when we lynched last second.

we DO have 24 hours, still.
I could easily get behind a Kaschan lynch, though, since I'm a firm believer in the "better lynch the unknown"principle. And no one is more unknowable than Kaschan at this point.

Sorry i'm still ill and my head is trying to split apart by the feel of it so I might be a little out of it.

I agree that Kasachan is a big unknown, I don't have any kind of read on him at all so I honestly couldn't claim to think he is a barbarian, emperor, usurper etc he could be one of those but I have nothing. This is worrying at this point in the game when we all have some kind of suspicions about where people stand and whether it is next to us.

I still think karosis is suspicious but my feeling on the couple of people that have vouched for him is that they are definitely three kingdoms, so I am conflicted on this point.

Telas is another one of those unknowns to me, I feel vaguely suspicious of him but that might be the tip off from Meanas. When I did look over his posts nothing seemed to jump out at all from them, so the most I could throw at him his a tip off and an accusation of coasting.

This is really kind of thinking out loud and a but jumbled, I'm going to lie down again, i'll hopefully be back with some more thoughts, if I manage any Posted Image.

Yeah, i'll go back and change it since you have the post quoted. Save confusion later. I mean't Khell, not Kaschan.

I usually hate these wall o quotes but I don’t see how I can avoid it to make my case known.

Since putting lynch votes on Tennes and Kaschan is just to create pressure on a couple of unknowns and a vote on Karosis is one I can get behind but others are finding it harder to pursue then maybe I can provide a solid alternative.

As previously discussed it can be determined that Barghast is claiming to not be Lu

View PostBarghast, on 07 October 2011 - 11:24 AM, said:

The Lu's are no friends of mine (which, if you analyse the vote trains, is already out in the open).

But he is claiming that he is near Lu territory so he narrowed down his location to Tlan Shui, Chang An, Yong An and Han Zhong. This more or less eliminates him from being Gongsun Zan. That puts him as either, Ma Choa, Yan, Xia or Sima Yi

View PostBarghast, on 07 October 2011 - 10:50 AM, said:

I must say though, the Osseric spat interests me way more at the moment. The reason why I find that so interesting is because on my previous location (somewhere in or near Lu lands),

Then later Barghast makes the following claims

View PostBarghast, on 12 October 2011 - 10:18 AM, said:

You may or may not be aware, but Emperors can forge telephone lines for a day between two of their minions. I've been chatting to a colleague of mine, who was so kind to tell me he received an Illumination with this information. I don't know the exact mechanicof the Illumination but I do know the results: it tells you who is at your location at time X. You and he shared it.

View PostBarghast, on 12 October 2011 - 10:19 AM, said:

That You ought to be Telas. The location was Xin Du.

<BR style="mso-special-character: line-break"><BR style="mso-special-character: line-break">

He states that he has a colleague that was in Xin Du that he has had off thread communications with because his emperor was able to award him with that ability.

Let’s say that Barghast is telling the truth here and he really was talking to an ally that was in Xin Du. But really if my emperor could do as you state then wouldn’t they connect all of their players together at some point so they know each other? It could be a onetime thing, I don’t know, but fishy nonetheless. But back to my main point

The only players that realistically have a shot to be in Xin Du are Gongsun Zan barbarians, a member of Xia middle kingdom and possibly Sima Yi as we know next to nothing about. The reason that we know this is because of the previously mistaken (by me) movement abilities. I don’t see a middle kingdom faction abandoning their capital for one. Nor do I see any reason for an opposing faction to want to travel to the barbarian territories when they will want to take out the players from the middle kingdom. Since we have previously eliminated Barghast as being Gonsun Zan then the only factions that he could possibly be are Xia or Sima Yi.

I have a feeling that not too many people will have a problem of voting off the Usuper and since Xia is most likely the largest faction out there and I have already outed myself as not being Xia then I feel that we should vote out Barghast.

Vote Barghast

Hellooooooooo. Anyone out there?

What are people interested in doing? Go on a low poster hunt or try and still track down a barbarian? Though they may be one in the same. Thoughts? Anyone?

here briefly

the Barghast idea seems interesting. though today i'm inclined to go for a low-poster, just so that we can be rid of them.

I'm wary of going after low posters just for the sake of them being low posters especially in a faction game. I don't want to inadvertantly eliminate an ally just because they are not contributing a ton. But I would like to put pressure on a few of them to get some more information out of them.

it's a risk, for certain. however, if I can't get a read on a player, chances are much higher than not that he's on one of the other factions.
