Well, from what I gather: We're still going on a Barbarian hunt. From everything that's been posted that went to bed, I have a few opinions, but not anything concrete.

Bargast is the most likely player to be a Barbarian to me, but he's not. And that frustrates me. He's from a middle faction. Right now, we're not really trying to get rid of those. This makes me mad, because he screams barbarian to me.

I'm thinking we may need to look at who is making a deal of the Tennes case. May be Barbarians trying to deflect from the attention we're giving them.

The most interesting interaction, to me, is between Karosis and Omtose. Hm.

No, I'm not wigging out at you Karosis. But you really shouldn't cover for others either. If you said "I don't agree because blah blah blah" ok, but you seem to be making it more than just personal intepretation.

I did not know you wanted each and every one of us to answer you individually...my bad.

I'm heading to the gym. I'll be off and on for a while with school and everything, then I should be here. I think there were a lot of worthwhile interactions last night. I just need to look closer.

there's far too much illuminating going around, if you ask me.

at this point,I'm really not sure who to vote for. I have reasons to believe that Omtose is not a White rider. This doesn't eliminate the chance of him being part of Ma Chao's crew, of course, but he ain't no Gongsun

with regards to crazy khell and Telas: i'm not sure how much stock we can put into Khell, because his death scene places him in a battle between Ma Chao and Lu auxillaries, which is fairly far away from xia territories, about which we are talking

Karosis, you asked who was likely to be looked at today as of yesterday. the candidates were (before we started this discussion) Galain, Tennes and to a lesser degree telas.

hmm, Silanah, are you hinting you're the finder that JA implied you were? ;) and that you found bargy to be a Kingdom man?

No. I interacted with him early enough, in a place where no barbarians could be without some kind of movement ability.

I explained above. Just as Emur feels that he can rule out omtose as a White Rider, I can rule out Barg as a Barbarian

I have caught up, and I've skimmed the thread. This time looking at Tennes' posts. He is among the low posters, and was getting some attention recently, so figured it was a good place to start. I hope to get around to the others sometime today.

I'll start with throwing all of them down, so anyone can take a look.

Ok, I went back and read the exchange. Atrahal brings up the geishas, and Emur corrects him. That doesn't seem like signaling to me. THIS seems more likely - "I like you". Based on what? A headband vs. Bandana comparison.

I'm back and caught up. As i Stated in sign up... I will be low posting, at least for the first part of the game (until wednesday when the GF goes out of town) Anyway, I think this is a really good find by Ruse. This is the type of signaling that is sometimes ignored or thrown away as Rping Is it likely...who knows. It's risky, but this early in the game, I think it's something worth looking into.

Thoughts so far. I agree with most about Serc being a probable emperor. Not so sold on the Tiam case. What I do find interesting is the huge vote split. It makes me think that someone of the 2 is rather powerful. Likely an emperor because they would have the most followers. Imo, Serc seems like more of the emperor. I feel like people are blowing the Tiam posts out of proportion and jumping on the first suspicious thing in an effort to save their emperor. With that in mind, <

vote Serc

Regardless of who gets lynched, we will have a ton of info to go off of. I would be willing to switch to get a lynch....but would prefer a Serc lynch.

Back and caught up. A lot has gone on including the Serc Reveal. At this point I am inclined to believe the reveal. With this info you can definately draw some conclusions as to who Tiam is.If you aren't in Xia its a good opportunity to pile on, if you are in Xia, well, best look elsewhere. Of course, then you run the chance of being pigeon holed, or giving to much info...and around and around we go. Typically Malaz mafia likes to kick a team when they are down, tomorrow will be an interesting day. (If Tiam survives).

CF... well, let's say that these connection theories are generally a long shot to begin with - even if there was a definate case to be made that we were witnessing some day 1 distancing. Now that Serc came up as a civvie (dangerous times to be in the bureaucracy, it seems), his find may be correct.

Now, I guess Yan officials are mostly stuck to Yan lands, meaning that perhaps Serc's potential locations can give a clue as to Tiam's potential locations, which might give a clue as to Tiam's alignment. Hmm, I have to muse on this.

I'm not certain I get this post. You tend to trust Serc's find, but are looking at position rules to try to determine Tiam's alignment? Errr...

Yeah, that doesn't make much sense..if you believe the reveal.. you don't need to use position to figure out his alignment. You can guess though as to where Tiam was when he was acted upon by Serc.

To me this means that one of the Tribes moved to a tile that had no one in it. Maybe a supposedly popular tile? A Capital thats been deserted?

In the ancient capital, a man swallows and chokes on a phoenix. He dies and is born anew, but perhaps there are some who can tell the difference.

This screams of the Usurpers transformation. Also hints that he is in a capital, and that certain finders might be able to see that he is the usurper?

I think PS is poking a little fun here. Maybe some people trying the same action over and over and failing once again.

I can't recall 100% but I seem to remember that D'rek does throw clues into her scenes. These might be worth noting for later.

people still can't move on past Tiam, it seems. to thepoint of failing reading comprehension.

Looking at the post count, Emurlahn is one of the highest poster. And yet I don't remember him confronting any of the other players, and coming out with anything of value except the occasional nodding to what is said and facebook posts. Besides also the comma business which he handled miserably.

You keep saying Yan is the biggest faction. Where do you get that? What's your point? You want to hunt Yan, say it. Don't just drop some lame hints and complain that people don't get them. You want to hunt Yan? Serc was Yan. What did Serc do? What did Serc say? You want to do something and get your ideas through instead of cruising along? Cause so far Emurlahn is hiding in plain sight.

This is a good post. After gaining huge heat on day one. Emur basically vanishes. But it definately can be seen by this post that he is still trying to manipulate where we are looking. I would be fine with a Tiam lynch, or an Emur lynch.

Emur, for a classic overextension followed by a vanishing act. Tiam..well, because all we seem to be able to talk about it Tiam. Her lynch would get us moving forward, as well as shed some light a little better on Faction lines.

View PostTennes, on 05 October 2011 - 04:24 PM, said:

Also, to whoever said Tiam was in He Fei on night one.. more likely he was in Luo Yang. Serc seemed to be a general of some sort.probably on the outlskirts of Yan territory. More likely he was in He Fei and Tiam was in Luo Yang. This might mean that Tiam is in the upper eschelon of the Xia power structure.

I wouldn't have minded an Emur vote but you are just being a petulant child now. You are shitting up the thread with your "funny" condescending posts and really, all you are doing is drawing attention away from everyone else and putting them on yourself. Right now the warlords are cheering you on. We aren't going to get anywhere with you around.

That slip by Meanas was Huge. He said he warrants that the Majority of players don't know their emperor. I know my emperor, and it sounds like a lot of other people do as well. I would hazard a guess that if you have an emperor...you know him. I think it's pretty clear that Meanas is a Barbarian of some sort.

On to Osseric, I would hazard a guess that Silanah has some kind of information. As he states that he thinks Osseric is the Yan emperor..I think we can see where his allegiences are. The thing is..if he does have info, and if Yan IS bigger than other factions. (like emur keeps assuming) it might be in all non Yan players interests to see if Osseric really is the Yan emperor. We have seen a couple of other votes...One on Meanas (justified) and another randon vote on a random person. Not sure who that was ( cant remember) but it seems like a pointed de-rail type vote.

I think Both of these targets are good lynches.

Osseric: It's always good to get an opposing teams emperor (especially one of a large faction), plus we can get some good info from the train in rregards to faction alliance.

Meanas: the Barbarians have been pretty much ignored. We could go here and try and curtail one of the tribes.

I am still mulling what I want to do. But we have 2 very good lynch options imo.

It was a genuine mistake, which I didn't explain well enough in the edit. I had a brain melt and for some reason was of the belief that officials in the factions knew the PM, not the emperor (that is, I'd got it into my head that I'd been told my PM by Path-Shaper, rather than my emperor). I realised my error as soon as I posted it.

I know a great deal might be made of this, but this is along the same lines (ironically) as Emurlahn's comma-gate.

So we are just supposed to gloss over it? I don't think so.

Actually

vote Meanas

we can always come back to Osseric, but we can't allow the barbarians to run rampant. Plus, I am sure Osseric will be receiving a ton of NA's tonight so we will probably find out more then. This is a 6 way faction game, and as of now we have been only concerning ourselves with 4 of them.

View PostTennes, on 10 October 2011 - 04:40 PM, said:

Back. Well, thats one power player down. Osseric was JA... figures. I always follow his subtle little manipulations. He had me believing he was on my team. Weasel. Anyway, I am still all for a Meanas lynch. It's clear his non understanding of the emperor/officer relationship put him as something other than belonging to one of the 3 Kingdoms. Whether that be usurper, warlord, or something else. At this point, unless people are going to divulge information about their findings last night... I am poised to vote for Meanas. That being said... I am going to hold off on my vote, as it is early in day and not many have checked in from the weekend.

There are many choices for lynch but for some reason these posts by Barghast stood out to me. He clearly stated that he has been in or near Lu lands. Then he states that the Lu's are no friends of his. How can you claim traveling though a land yet be enemies of said land owners?

Are you serious here? So does that mean you are just sitting in your capital? Unless you just camp in your capital, you are going to be in enemy territory. If you want to get actions to go through, you have to move. Traveling is an essential part to this game, and being in enemy territory is part of the process. Your ignorance on this topic has confused me. You just jumped up on my barbarian-o-meter. Or perhaps you just didn't read the rules. Either way, this seems like a very forced vote.

There really is not much to go on based on Tennes posts alone. Sometimes he/she does add useful speculation, in regards to faction alignment and territory restrictions. I would place Tennes in the middle kingdoms, almost definitely. Tennes also made an early suggestion that we focus on barbarians. Lately Tennes has been MIA, so it makes it tough to base anything off his/her commentary.

Okay I have to say something even if I'm not all the way caught up yet. My head is about to explode with all the information that is being passed back and forth here.

Barghast I need some clarification on what you are talking about. The back and forth with Kess regarding the Illumination and players locations and communications with a teamate are confusing. What information are you saying that you have regarding Telas locations? How does it prove that he is a barbarian?
