SInce the bosom buddies have went nighty-night, anyone have another opinion about things?
I still think Korbas told partial truth in his reveal. Telann reappeared just in time to divert a train. There are some good low poster candidates.
We have 8 hours to make a lynch. I can feel OK with different scenarios.
Out of low posters, I like Ruse's input a little more

I been reading up the last little while.... you people are way too attached to the sequence of how things went in the books

Going by what wikipedia can tell me, looks like Korbas is probably Croaker and the scenes we've been getting seem like they'll be excerpts from the Black Company annals throughout the game. Makes sense then that Croaker gets the CFs and I guess he chooses whether to write them into the anals or not by telling us on thread or not

I just popped on to let you know that I will be back before day times out. I still like the Tellan vote for now but I haven't had much time to think on other options and I'm intrigued by the Anthras vote. I got to get a boat load of shat done by tomorrow so I'll be a little light on the posting. To make sure that any possible train doesn't get derailed by my vote on Tellan.
remove vote
I hope to have some time this evening to do some analysis and make an informed decision.
Edited: Removed not. Didn't want to give the wrong impression.

Ok, I agree with Rashan about book analysis - I think we need to see how things play out further since it seems speculating on book timeline is getting us no where. And I learned a new word, I'm embarassed to admit I didn't know what an 'omnibus' was.
I, for one, am ok with giving Tellan the benefit of the doubt (for now). I know some people can lie about real life, but an accident in the family seems like a legit reason to be low posting.
As for Anthras, I've got written in my notes 'possible connection with Liosan', who is another low poster candidate. I don't remember why I wrote that, so I'll have to go back and look at their interaction again.

It isn't just the quantity of posts, that drew attention. It was the content, or lack-there-of, brought about the votes.
As for Anthras, I'm curious about people who will throw out votes quickly in a faction game, as it means you could be part of a smallish power-faction. However, the most interesting thing there, to me, was him following Korbas' votes fairly quickly twice.
If I was looking for a faction lead, I'd be more apt to go Tellann than Anthras at this point in time because of that.

I actually agree w/ Rashan, I think Korbas is Croaker (for now) - that idea makes too much sense, he would have more info than about anyone. However the Lady also knew things other did not, so be alert. To get multiple CFs is a crazy power.
Why would Telann symp or fake-symp so hard? Either declaring allegiance or trying to make us lynch Korbas, its not at all subtle that those two seem tight.
@D'riss - please explain your last sentence
Right now he's slipping below all of us mostly - I need to hear more from him
Vote Liosan

Because I see Anthras perhaps following a master's votes, whereas Tellann seems to be playing "don't notice me" low-poster power-role possible style faction lead. I guess you'd have to read between the lines between my last couple posts to see that is what I was thinking, maybe. I thought it was pretty explicit.

My point being that just because the Dominator recruited certain people in a certain order in the books and it seemed some Circle joined the Lady partway through too, doesn't mean it will happen for the same people in the same order. Rather the mechanic for it will be in place, but it wont necessarily be the same people - so maybe the Dominater can recruit as in the book but he can recruit anyone and it wont be the same people. So theres no point to what some people were arguing with < Eloth cant be Dominator she needs to join the Lady first! > as while th emechanics are likely in place for that to be possible its unlikely for the game to play out exactly like that.

I'm going to bed too. .... I was in fact planning to do just that half an hour ago. Gah!
Well, with the risk of being accused of diverting my own lynch train (which certainly influences this decision) I'm going to follow Korbas lead on this one.

And that's why I'll keep my vote where it is.
You seem to have decided to latch on to Korbas, perhaps hoping to avoid being lynched if you're associated with the person we're least likely to lynch.

The question is whether he's fakin it and just doing it to not get lynched or if he is another BC member and doing it legitimately

I just want to be clear, sometimes reading between the lines can lead to false assumptions.

With only 2 likely trains underway, I dont want to waste my vote. I would prefer to go another way, but we need a lynch, hopefully there will be a CF this time from P-S. I think Telann is the lesser of 2 evils. Anthras hasn't had much of substance and some low posting.
I probably won't be back before time out, so I will:
Remove vote
Vote Anthras

Compared to Tellan, I'm a raging torrent of contribution.
And why the hell would there be a CF from Path Finder, when there hasn't been before? What kind of blatant ass-covering assertion is that?
And all votes against are by people who provided little or no justification, and immediately ran off afterwards, with Tellan hiding behind Korbas.

Plus, I want to see what this does to the voting as there seems to be push-back.

I really don't trust Korbas. He keeps seeming to establish more and more rings of protection around himself, being untouchable as the first CF, directing lynching towards other people, and now has now been elevated to potential Narrator status as Croaker, which connotes neutrality backed by a lot of power in knowledge.
I for one do not like having an untouchable among us, especially when we only snipe at his ideas, wonder for whom he is covering, and yet follow his lead on lynches, plot line (yes, guilty here as well. I'm information starved too), and faction speculation.
I mean what else can we do? We don't have any other people admitting to being a CF and I would bet money that most of you know at least some of your teammates, except for RIs and maybe a wizard, soldier, or two. So it seems like we are just following his lead with a touch of cynicism to maintain 'objectivity.' AND WE DON"T EVEN KNOW WHO HE IS!
I actually have him currently pegged as a big cheese: Dominator, White Rose, or Lady. I don't want to give him more days if I can avoid it, fearing that he is waiting for an unlocking of abilities or a larger pool of recruited followers. Thus, even though it is a split vote (I do hope enough of you will follow, but it is a little late to have a sudden swing in votes I know), I must in good conscience:
Remove Vote
and
Vote Korbas
He needs to be dealt with unless someone can prove or [at least] convincingly argue he is relatively harmless (
).
Btw...
To clarify, I don't trust Tellan entirely either.
@Tellan - I do believe your reasons for low posting and I too offer sympathies seeing as I have had close family in the hospital as well and can thus empathize with your burden.
That aside, you are too close to Korbas which smacks of danger to me, so I won't fight against what appears is to be your lynching tonight. But again, I wish you and your family the best.
