Ok, now I'm just more confused. Lady's RI soldier? I though Rebel RI was enough no names. Makes me suspicious considering how many names are available for the Lady's side....
So we have 10 people left. And I win if the Lady and Dominator are defeated (which may or may not imply player roles for each of those entities). For the sake of argument, let's say they exist as does the WR.
Left in the game for sure is:
Dominator
Lady
White Rose
Rebel RI - me
Which leaves 6 unnamed roles
So if Korbas is trust worthy, we so far have four factions: Rebellion, Soulcatchers, Dominator, and Lady. Looks like Dominator and Rebellion factions are linked somewhat as are the Lady and Soulcatchers factions.
I think we have potentially killed off the leader of the Soulcatchers (Soulcatcher herself) and I can't be sure there is a WR, but if Raker is dead, I think he was a potential first or second of the Rebellion.
You know, we have only seen one BC character and I am starting to wonder if that one was a lie. I would expect there to be others if the BC has roles in this game as opposed to being NPCs.
Ok, posting this and then continuing with speculation

Another item to get the names in front of us (
Green = maybe in the game as a player and still alive;
Red = dead according to Korbas):

The Ten Who Were Taken; The New Taken
Many generations before the first novel, these Ten powerful wizards were magically bound to the will of the Dominator:
Soulcatcher- The Limper
- The Howler
- Shapeshifter
- Stormbringer
- Bonegnasher
- The Hanged Man
- Nightcrawler
- Moonbiter
- The Faceless Man
Then, between the first and the third novels, the Lady replaced those of the Ten who were slain with the following:
- Whisper
- Journey
Feather- Blister
- Scorn
- Benefice
- The Creeper
- Learned
And finally the wikipedia Black Company List of characters:
Members of The Black Company
[edit]From the Northern Campaigns
- The Captain: Leader of the Black Company.
- The Lieutenant: His second in command.
- Croaker [most likely just PS's role]: Company's doctor and annalist. As annalist, his is the voice that narrates the stories. Though no specific rank is mentioned, it is likely he ranks as a mid-level officer.
- Silent: Moderately talented wizard named for the fact that he never speaks.
- Goblin: Moderately talented wizard named because of his short stature and his facial features.
- Tom-Tom: Moderately talented wizard named for the instruments he carries and plays to punctuate his speech. Brother of One-Eye.
One-Eye: Moderately talented wizard named for the fact that he has only one good eye. Brother of Tom-Tom.- Elmo: Sergeant and Croaker's best friend.
- Murgen: Standard bearer.
- Mercy: Platoon leader.
- Pickles: Company quartermaster.
- Otto: Veteran mercenary.
- Hagop: Veteran mercenary and scout.
- Raven: Northern recruit of former affluence.
- Candy: Veteran mercenary.
- Pawnbroker: Veteran mercenary.
- Kingpin: Veteran mercenary known for laziness.
- Marron Shed: Inn owner from Juniper.
Ok, so the greens, if all present account for 8 of the 13 remaining players. Not listed above but probably player roles include:
White Rose,
Bormaz (from the OP), and more nameless
Rebels (if that is all the info Korbas received on the dead rebel players).
Let's say that there is only one Rebel left to keep them on this list, which then accounts for 11 of the 13 players. Since we haven't heard of any rebel wizards (correct?) I would guess the last two roles are part of the
Circle for completeness sake.
That leads me to guess the following faction breakdown:
Soul-catcher's (Lady's) Faction [up to 8 players]
Leadership (1st = Lady, 2nd = Soulcatcher) [2 players]
Taken (The Limper) [1 player]
Misc (Bormaz) [1 player]
BC members [up to 4 players]
Dominator's Faction [1 player]
Leadership (Dominator) [1 player]
Rebellion Faction [2 players]
Leadership (White Rose) [1 player]
The Circle [2 players]
Unnamed Rebels [1 player]
These seem like very uneven teams, which can potentially work if there is 1) a lot of cross recruiting with the Taken, BC, Circle, and Rebels being fair game and/or 2) the smaller factions have a lot of tricks up their sleeves such as a superpower Dom and WR.
I think that the BC is actually smaller (death scene name dropping for story's sake) and the Circle peeps include more players. I also think it is possible the Lady or Soulcatcher don't exist are are just another name place holder.
Ok, this is a long post. I'll back off for a sec.
Ok, One-Eye is marked. I'm a little confused then what to do with your comment Mockra?

WR can't lead the Rebellion. she's part of BC, and when she becomes teh Captain of BC, BC BECOMES the Rebellion.
Does this mean that the Rebellion is leaderless or could one of the Circle be a rebellion leader?
Thanks both for help clarifying things.
And Circle names:
Whisper
Feather
Journey
Raker
Harden
Roper
Tamarask
Sidle
Moth
Linger
Trinket
And why a soldier of the Lady. That is very odd especially with so many names available. And does this mean the Rebel leader is Raker and not White Rose.
I am very confused, but still wondering how much of that is Korbas. Still thinking.
Ok, if there is BC roles in the game, I would bet that accounts for 2 other roles (Captain and.....?)I think Limper is in play. And I think there is at least one more Circle and Taken (in addition to limper) floating around. Which leaves room for one other person, maybe another RI (Lady or Rebel?)?

Looking ok on the lynching Korbas front. My numerous comments could go either way depending on how much everyone craves Korbas' input. However, with the killing spree continuing to accelerate, the end game is close and hopefully people will knock of Korbas before it's too late. I really wonder if Korbas could be stealing the CFs such that if we kill him PS will start giving them directly to us instead of being hijacked. Though, if Korbas is hijacking and thus maybe being Dominator or Lady, killing him should be a major win for the rebels.

I can't believe it has taken this long for anybody to even talk to me, let alone vote for me. I get noisier and noisier since it's probably hard to hear me from "up Korbas' ass" as Liosan so eloquently expressed.
Though, after last game, something makes me wonder if everyone is trying to be more subtle because they happen TO KNOW A HELL LOT MORE THAN ME!!!!!!!!!!!

FUCKING HELL!!!!!!!!
Ok, I'm a little better now.

I swear, this crowd would lynch Deep Blue within the first few minutes of a game...

first thing first. I've got so much to say. Each player left has to make up their own mind. I could be on your team. Barg seems to love his quotes which is fine but he doesn't say who he thinks i am. I don't believe him to be a head guy as he is throwing himself out there. But and it is a big but, he hasn't looked elsewhere. I've posted the most. I'm not loyal to anyone because i don't know who to trust. Its easy to build a train on me. Lio jumped on with barg because he's scared of being voted. It would be too hard to make up 4 or more factions, add names to each one and remember everything. Why people think i'm lying is beyond me. Who do you think i am barg? If i'm a leader type role then why am i getting cf's! I don't want to vote you because you,re putting yourself out there and i like that. Yet why not focus on other players! Are you a recruit? I'd prefer to look elsewhere for major scum. I'l add more in the morning. By the way, when did you become leader?
Oh, and Korbas, whoever the weasel you are, you're good. So very good. So good, that sometimes I actually think you are telling the truth...

Lol. I'm a rebel RI who is probably the last of his team being accused of symping with Lio. That is hilarious. Ah, touche' sir, but sadly I have nothing to run away from. I would have a hard time finding a starting point in your pointless comments. Sigh. I just hope others see through your weak-ass bluster.

So what am I missing that has Rashan so damn confident? He seems to swear up and down that Korbas is Croaker, which may mean Rashan has his own CF function. But what I'm confused about is the concept of a factionless faction. I guess that would be a fascinating game concept to have a whole faction whose victory conditions drift from place to place.
So for the sake of argument, let's say Rashan is BC as is Korbas. Liosan pretty much admitted to being of the Lady or Dominator (if I remember correctly) so I would peg him as a Lady's man. Despite his self-righteousness, I would be willing to give Rashan's theory of Gailan being a leader credence, making him WR, Lady, or Dominator. Ampelas, if Rashan's mafia theories hold true, is perhaps a RI or something low on the totem-pole floundering around like me. And with that logic, Anthrax is also RI. Two more Players... um... D'riss and Osseric. Both lay really low and strike me as unremarkable. I will hazard D'riss is WR and Osseric is the Lady. Ok, well let's see what the Rashan method brings us...

I know, spamming talking to myself etc. I'm just going stir crazy with the inertia. People are just fluffing about saying low poster this, cute cuddly that, and what do we have? A three way split vote. And people seem to think nothing of the fact our numbers were halved in three days (isn't that fast or is that just typical faction mafia?) I want to talk more on thread and get some good stuff going, but seriously, it's like wading through cold caramel.
Sorry to fill your inbox PS. I guess unless you want to through in some laughing emoticons, I'm mostly talking to myself and maybe entertaining SH if there isn't a post via PM limit...
