I can barely remember the book but the picks of Ian McShane for Odin and Peter Stormare for Czernobog seems absolutely perfect.

Stormare is usually good and I've never seen anything with Ian McShane where he didn't deliver the goods!
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

I've also seen that Gillian Anderson will be playing the Media god. After not hearing about her for a decade it seems like she is suddenly everywhere.

^This, pretty much. Can't wait.

You guys know that there's already a thread on this show?

"I think I've made a terrible error of judgement."

Couldn't find it. Unless it's located somewhere else than the TV-forum it doesn't show up in the search function if you look for American gods or Neil Gaiman.

Just did a new search to test and the thread popped right up. I think I might have misspelled something.
Oh well, merge or lock.

Lincoln from The 100 is starring in this. Maybe he left that for this?
He was effectively drummed off the 100 by its creator who didn't like him and basically gave Lincoln less and less to do...so he walked and the AG showrunners snapped him up.

Ok so this starts tomorrow night. I'm curious as I have never read how far this season will go into the book? Isn't this just one book long? How much can they squeeze out of it if it goes farther then S1?
I can barely remember the plot of the book but, the ending of the book is not "final" in the sense that the world ends or everyone dies. Rather the book sets up an ever expanding universe of old and modern gods living among us.
You could use what you need from the book and just go your own way from there.

Right but it feels like The Fall, Hannibal, X-files all happened all of a sudden after a long period where I wasn't seeing her anywhere.
Looking at her body of work it's clear she kept herself busy, I guess the stuff she made just didn't really reach my attention/interest:

Yah she moved to England not too long after The X-Files ended so she's done hella BBC work but only occasional dips back into Hollywood/American projects.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I was wrote out a post full of profanities but ran out of words before the post became an accurate description of how good the first episode was.
It was ... Just amazing. The cinematography, the filming, the music oh god the music, the dialogue, the editing. Fan-fucking-tastic. Absolutely amazing. I'm fanboying so hard over it right now jesus christ someone help me.

Just did a bit of googling, looks like nobody have picked up the show in Denmark. I was hoping HBO or Netflix would have gotten the rights.
