Yeah, that's easily in my top five of all time. It's just so damned good.

The clip looks good, but what is Rurouni Kenshin?

So I finished watching the last few season 1 Attack on Titan episodes. I liked the final sequence, went out on a nice bit of action and characters being their ultimate selves, of a sort.
Spoiler

A bit disappointed that we didn't get to learn more, but I don't really know how long this manga goes and how long they can therefore stretch the anime out. If they're planning to do 4 seasons, then I guess it makes sense to stretch some things out.
Spoiler

There was also a little post-credits scene that I'm not sure if it really could mean anything.

Overall, pretty satisfactory season ending and I'll stick around for season 2. Those of you who were on the fence about it at the mid-way point, I encourage you to try and finish it off and see. The pace and intrigue pick back up after the 3 or so political episodes.

WHAT?!

lol, just kidding.

Classic Anime, from back in the days when Anime was crack supplied in 4 episode increments on VHS tapes that cost $50-60 EACH in Canada.

So AoT ended then? I've been waiting for it to. Gotta watch ep 15-whatever.

I hear it ended with strong overtones that theres gonna be a second season. I'm catching it all up as well. Its an easy watch without all the waiting.

It ends with good closure for a season but nowhere near enough closure for a whole series, so they have to be planning a second season. And if this were where the manga ended there's no way it would have so many fans, either! If the company doing the anime goes bankrupt before they can make season 2, a lot of people are going to be pissed.

On the other hand, I guess the series hasn't released on DVD yet and that'll be a big factor in it's profitability, so if it doesn't do well they might decide they can't afford a second season. People say the budget on this one was really huge.

Ah, I'll have to go and watch the rest of AoT then, too...

In the meantime, the new season has kicked off, and the first anime I've watched, Kyoukai no Kanata ("Beyond the Boundary"), looks pretty decent. Kyoto Animation production, so you KNOW it's going to look STUNNING and be of a generally all-around top shelf quality. The storyline doesn't seem to be anything exceptional at the moment, but has potential, and at the very least isn't going to be bad. Looks to be a bit more serious than most recent KyoAni stuff - less slice of life, more people getting murdered. Well, shades getting murdered, and maybe murdering people...but I'm anticipating a few person-to-person combats as well. B)
And it seems to have a nice amount of that weird and awesome Japanese folklore/mysticism taken literally, which almost always results in interesting magic and powers.

Will probably follow this one for the season. (It's KyoAni...so, *shameless fanboy*)

And, obviously, the rest of Monogatari S2. Because it's awesome. No, wait, that's not right. It's FANTASTICALLY AWESOME GOD-TIER AWESOME. But you guys knew I meant that, right? >.>

HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

baccano(action packed, this show does not stop)
legend of the legendary heroes (this is gold if you want fantasy)
d-grayman (give it a few episodes, if you aren't hooked by ep 10 drop it, it's a long show)
darker than black (dark action series)
Ga-rei zero (dark, character driven story)

ALSO YOU NEED TO WATCH FMA MAN!!!!!!! you can't say you're into anime and not have seen fma, it's like an english major who's never read shakespeare.

so for shows im watching this season
Valvrave season 2,
Kill la kill: sUnbreakable machine doll:
>Log horizon
to aru hikushi e no kiouta (spelling),
nekku kairir:

ill need to spend time looking which which ahve titles translated. Also i caught the pokemon origins movie. Was great for the nostalgia but... they should've turned it into a 12 episode series.

There are some weird shows out this fall. I saw kill la kill, and i still don't know what it was i watched. I also saw ep1 of diabolik lovers... I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone, yet i think i may end up watching it as well, for reasons i don't know.

Just finished Shingeki no Kyojin.

Properly Epic ending. I hope they make a ton of cash so that a second season becomes viable.

An important question.

In regards to Full Metal Alchemist and FMA: Brotherhood. My understanding that they are both adaptions of the Manga, both cover the same ground but of course are different. So Do I watch both or only one? Which one?

I've yet to watch, but from what I understand BROTHERHOOD is the more source-specific to the Manga because the original show was being written while the Manga was still getting made (and thus it deviates from the source material heavily)...and BROTHERHOOD sticks to the manga.

So I've heard they are both worth watching for being different versions of the tale....but when I watch I'll be skipping the first one and going straight for BROTHERHOOD.

Which, if you're going to watch only one of them, is the one to watch, by 90% of accounts.

that's debatable, i think it's more of an even 50 50. Both series have their merits.
