No i'm sure it'll be okay, maybe i'll transfer a lot of the stuff already on the Laptop onto the external harddrive and use the laptop for gaming. It's fairly new

Sorry, I am well aware it can be more of a pain in the arse with some models, but indignation is just so much fun ;)
Really though, quite a few (I'd even go so far as to say most newer models) make replacing the RAM and HDD quite siple really. Most other bits I wouldn't bet on, but yeah.
Tatt, if you do find you want more of either and aren't sure about how to do it/aren't comfortable doing it yourself, then quite a few places will do it for you in a few hours for under $50 (plus the price of the new part). At least here in Australia anyway.
If it's a fairly new laptop, then yeah, you probably don't need to worry about it, Civ games don't require too much to run :D

single biggest bottleneck in laptop gaming is the GPU. Largely due to the prevalence of "integrated video-card laptops", where the GPU is part of the mobo, making it extremely difficult to upgrade. otoh, RAM is generally far less of a hassle, since most laptops feature a slot for an extra stick.

Nevermind the key, a buddy actually had one for me. Seems those things are everywhere. I like the perspective change of this moba. I haven't played enough to get a good handle on the gameplay or roles yet. I'll try more later tonight.

That's a very odd glitch, haven't had that one myself. Unless the marriage was matrilineal, you ought to have your inheritance structure intact.

However, I have noted monarchs/rulers trying to convert an agreed regular betrothal to 'matrilineal marriage' when the youngest of the two reaches maturity, which is NASTY.

And I'm already well lost, whats the best way to raise your reve nue stream, mines is a trickle at the minute.

Castle Villages in castles you own. Then build pallissades, walls et cetera for a slightly higher trickle of revenue. Invest in the Town Market chain and in Harbours (coast bound cities only) in the cities in your demesne: the revenue does't go to you but to their mayor (who then invests in his own city) but you tax him for at the very least 15% of his revenue so it's an added tiny trickle.

Or make one of your mayors a duke, give him a full duchy (which he will turn into a republic) and watch him make tons and tons of money in tribute for you. But that's a bit of an exploit.

It takes a while and a few tries to get into. But if you get a dynasty going, the pain will be tenfold when it rapes you up the ass.

I've managed to wrest the nation back into my slender, feminine hands, but everyone hates me and they kill off every single male stupid enough to stick their head out of my vagina. I've got one duke on my side, so my daughter is set to inherit the queendom upon what will probably my suspicious death. But I'm sick and tired of playing a woman. This shit is hard. I'm all for women's rights after this, because this men's club at the top is just downright unfair, it is!

Yea its a fun game, I think I prefer the turn based-ness and ship-building of GalCiv2, though.

If you're more for the turnbased I'd recommend looking at Sword of the Stars & its expansions.
