PLaying plenty of WoW recently. The pre-Legion patch came around and all the juicy class changes are here - my own enhancement shaman main feels much refreshed with a major overhaul, I've also had heaps of fun with a new fury warrior alt and also the early access demon hunter.
The Legion Invasions are in full swing and I must say that Blizz came a long way since poor old pre-WotLK scourge invasions :rolleyes: they're fun and epic as should be.


Would love to play No Man's Sky but frankly don't have the time for it. Besides, I might just prefer Elite still.

I'm playing Pokemon Uranium - a fan-made unofficial pokemon game that released a short while ago. There's some nuclear/irradiated pokemon mechanic later in the game but I haven't gotten to that yet - for now it's just standard early-stages stuff... but holy crap it's HARD!

I went with the Grass-Steel starter pokemon and kept getting wiped out by the birds on the first road. Restarted and took the Fire-Ground starter and am doing better, but it's still hard. The second gym leader doesn't even have any sort of theme, he has all kinds of weird types I couldn't figure out how to counter.

Downloaded game onto tablet/phone - The Pirate; Caribbean Hunt.

Quite impressed so far - loads of ships, real time sailing and battles with accuarate ammo etc, and a good weather gage system so you have to take the wind into account.

The bar shot shreds sails, grape shot is suitably short ranged, and when I've attempted to take a bigger ship I've been soundly thrashed.

It looks good so far - I just hope it can be played without it being essential to buy all the added extras on offer.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

not playing it yet, but Team 17 have a new worms game out tomorrow that I'm purposely buying an Xbox One for lol.

Still one of my favourite games. Have you checked out the modding community? There is lot of pretty good additional content which is very easy to install.

Unfinished business is a must install for the kidnapping of boo!

I have played UB in the past :D I always liked Longer Road for Throne of Bhaal too. Unfortunately most of it doesn't work on the enhanced edition, which I'm now running because my old discs have finally given up the ghost!

Gog have them all pretty cheap.
Id start with Baldur's gate the original.
If you like it then carry on with expansions and 2 is just awesome.
If you want more Icewind dale 1&2 are good, but for me it oeaked with BG2.

I wasn't overly enamoured with The Pillars of infinity to be honest.

When I win the lottery, BG 3 will somehow happen

Anybody know how we can make Mac win the lottery?

IWD has a huge soft spot in my heart because it was the first one I played. I liked Pillars, but it's yet another example of a great idea that tapers off badly towards the end.

Not sure if you're referring to Baldur's Gate or Deus Ex.

If you mean Deus Ex I reckon there are two ways to look at it.

1. You are are the kind of game nerd that wants to know every game in a series. You want a deep encyclopedic knowledge of the history of games. You also have an affection for old games and old game mechanics and graphics.

At which point I'd say start with the first Deus Ex that came out around 2000. The first level is a bit rough but for the time, the game is something truly special.

2. You just like playing video games and prefer the newest best games, over obscure or obtuse gaming experiences. You're looking for a great game and don't really care about the ancestry of games.

At which case I'd argue that you either start with Human Revolution released in 2011 or just start out with Mankind Divided that just came out. There's a pretty thorough 12 minute story intro that you can chose to watch at the start of the game.

From the 2-2.6 hours I played, Mankind divided is basically "just" a new Human Revolution. Definitely the best playing, prettiest game so far in the series.

I came on here to post that I'm playing Elite:Dangerous.
I got the horizon season pass on steam last week, and I'm enjoying it. Also looking forward to see what future content will be and how Frontier will build on the game.


However, now I just want to play BG2.
