There's not really enough of it to hate. It's like a free demo version.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I enjoyed Battlefront quite a bit. There was no hate.

Note, I said enjoyed. The game isn't deep enough to keep my interest for long. I like the mechanics that ARE there, except for the random-ass hero power-up placements, but it doesn't hold a candle to Battlefield or even COD.

And R6:Siege blows both of those out of the water.
Monster Hunter World Iceborne: It's like hunting monsters, but on crack, but the monsters are also on crack.

Aaaand, done with the Portuguese campaign. That last mission was a fun B&D, once you convert the other Portuguese force. There`s then a rush to smash a Wonder, once you do you inherit teh island it stood on, connected to the "mainland" by a bridge. from then on, it's a B&D against Persians, Turks and Saracens, not a bad way to end it.

Now, really, I'm not yet done with AoK HD- the master-plan is to play through ALL single-player content (including the "Battles" Scenarios, and a few campaigns from the Workshop), but i'm gonna take a hiatus from it.

Next I'll probably due a New Game++ playthrough of Arkham Origins.

Oh man I am loving AC Syndicate. So much fun, plus the map is flipping HUGE! I have been bombing around in the train and I have hardly seen any of the map. This is going to take me a good long while to complete and I love it! Mostly fighting as Evie but occasionally mixing it up and playing as Jacob. Tons of fun.

There are some thoroughly freaky areas in that thing. A research facility for the Healing Church comes to mind.

Yeah, though that update also adds a lot of fixes to the main game. The DLC is well worth it and feels like a solid addition to the main game.

I've started experimenting with invasion. I'm terrible at it. Absolutely terrible. It's embarassing.

So, having a character solely focused on Skill, I've decided to add Arcane to the mix. I've pretty much ignored that attribute, which I've always regretted for losing me access to some interesting aspects of the game. So now I've decided to push that up to 25 and in that way become more unpredictable in invasions too.

NG+ is terrible in Arkham Origins. Or possibly I'm just terrible at the game. Either way, blocking response time is messed up, leading to many repeat fights. had to spend 2 hours (!!!) yesterday trying to get through the GCPD prison riot fight. And on the weekend, f%&*ing Deathstroke was brutal- I could not, for the life of me, manage to block the sword strokes. It's a great-looking boss fight, but ridiculously hard. I can't imagine people actually play this ironman.

I've gotten deep into my second play through of Bloodborne this time around, and I'm getting slightly better at invasions. I am in the Vileblood covenant, and so I wear the armour of a Cainhurst knight. Bloodborne just looks so good. Fighting under the massive white moon of Mensis Nightmare, this game is a masterpiece in so many ways.

Yep, the timing on the blocking in Arkham Origins is deffo out of synch. Annoying as hell, esp in boss fights-when the blocks work properly, they make Bats look BAD-ASS. But then they don't and you contemplate throwing the mouse at the screen.

I really like the story in Origins though. And now I got the shock gloves back. Life is just better with shock gloves.

The Orphan of Kos will not die. I built up a lot of frustration trying yesterday. Eventually I gave up and decided to invade other players to be killed by them instead.

So I bought XCOM 2. Not had time to play it yet and I won't until sunday evening, but man, I can't wait.

I've been playing a bunch of Farcry: Primal.

You know all that negative pessimism surrounding this game? How this is basically just Farcry 4 without guns? It's all true. Only I am too busy tossing spears through cave peoples faces to give a shit.

I really like this game. It feels like playing a survival game on easy mode, with pet killing machines and retarded enemies. This is a game for people who just want to run around collecting stuff, unlocking stuff and shooting people in the face with little hassle.

The actual cave people stuff is pretty cool, the cutscenes are great and there's something really appealing about sneaking through a pre-historic forest with a spear and a pet Saber Tooth Tiger.

Yes! I've only played the first bit, but want to play more, I've enjoyed it so far.

Then again, I still need to finish Rise of the Tomb Raider.

I looked at the first part of it on YouTube. It does look good, but I'm undecided as to whether the upgrade system will hook me in, or if I'll just get bored with another ubisoft collection game like AC.

The limited weapons and simplicity is the bit that actually appeals to me.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Primal isn't a collectible game in the same way that Farcry 4 or AC: Whatever was. There are some religious totems and relics scattered around that you find but they are few and far between. The actual collectible system in this game is all resources. You need resources to craft weapons and gear. You need ressorces for upgrades and building new huts. And that's about it.

It's basically the hunting and gathering system from Farcry but now you need many more resources to craft your packs.

That said, it's not "hard" to find all these resources. It just takes time since everything is scattered and some animals are really scarce. God damn Yaks must be invisible.
