The Metal Age is the best Thief game, one of those weird cases where the sequel is better than the original. I recommend going ghosting through the whole game on Expert. Lotsa fun
Deadly Shadows is kinda meh, but the Shalebridge Cradle makes it worth it.
I must admit that after several months I still haven't finished the new Thief. It's a bit rough on my hardware, and also Paradox Games are taking too much of my time.

Finished the warehouse yesterday on Expert. Didn't ghost it though, I'm a bit rusty, so knocked out nearly everyone. I'll need to replay it being more stealthy in the future.

The original took me several tries, to get through, as after the entertaining first mission you get the 2 levels with zombies, and those were just annoying as hell.
Once I got amulet-hunting though, the game was ace.

Must say I liked Down in the Bonehoard, especially with all the stuff with your "maps" ("Where am I???" ). I do prefer TMA due to less of that supernatural stuff, but I wouldn't say it was completely out of place in TDP. Return to the Cathedral is easily the best level in the game, and that has pretty much only supernatural stuff.

Down the Bonehoard I had a love/hate relationship with. The early bits were annoying, then it got good oonce you had to start figuring out traps and secrets.

Old city was the worse in that regard, as there were so many of tose goddamn zombies, and not enough mines.


Incidentally, finished the police station yesterday. Since I played on Expert, had to do w/o any knockouts. I've developed
a new fondness for noisemaker arrows

Comparing with the other stealth police station level--from DXHR, it's easy to see we haven't done that much evolving. I'd argue the level design in Shoalsgate is actually superior to the DPD.

This game. It is awesome.

However I expect I`ll hit a stealth overdose by the time I`m done, so gonna download Arkham origins on Steam to have on standby.

I go in and out of gaming a fair bit..I should make that more clear: I significantly abandon and obsess over games depending on my mood. Currently I'm in that place of complete gaming abandonment. I've not touched one in 3 months at least. My most recent obsession was a heavily modded version of Skyrim since I'd built a new PC this last Spring, and figured that would be a great way to put it through it's paces. ENB settings, and a good 170 or so other mods...even the dust was HD. :-P I did give Watchdogs a try since it came with my graphics card, but after one mission I lost interest. My next game will likely be whatever comes out first between DA-Inquisition, the next Fallout game, The Witcher 3, or whenever Destiny comes out for PC.

That game is like crack. I've been trying to quit playing for a long time, yet even after long breaks (longest being nearly a year) I always end up renewing my subscription for a few months (and then "quitting" again). Trying to stay away for good now, but from what I've heard this expansion sounds like it has the potential to be the best yet. Really seems like they're focusing on making every aspect as enjoyable as possible, which is something that I've always felt was a problem in the past. Questing was god-awful in Burning Crusade but the end-game was incredible, Wrath was a complete faceroll dungeon-wise and the end-game was disappointing with the exception of Ulduar, Cataclysm was pure shit, and Mists had that god-awful reputation gating for awhile (seriously, fuck dailies). Not to mention the obnoxious theme. Pandaren didn't bother me, but their stupid white-man's-idea-of-China culture was obnoxious. Plus those dungeons were fucking awful.

I'm tempted to purchase, but I know I'll end up getting burnt out after a month or two. Might just see if I can level one of my friend's billion level 90s to 100 to see the questing and dungeons.

Do garrisons feel like a gimmick or do they genuinely feel personalized?

Definitely not a gimmick, they will be your central point.
Just got to 100 yesterday and at this point I'm doing mostly solo stuff with the aforementioned garrison, daily assault area, gathering timber... waiting for people to hit the cap so we can do dungeons in a guild group. Dungeons aren't a cakewalk in this xpac, I've only so far gotten into one at 100 and I left after 10 min as my group had no intention to help me combat the fight's mechanics, and it was no pushover... also just Normal mode, not even heroic. Huh. Great

I will be getting Unity but I went with Far Cry 4 to start with. It's so goddamn amazing.

Also, fuck Rhino's are scary animals. Forget the tigers from Far Cry 3. Rhino's will destroy anything that gets in their way. I threw 2 grenades at a Rhino that just pissed it off. I emptied my arrow quiver and all my Assault riffle ammunition into the thing and it just kept coming.

In my WoW career I spent about as much time on Alliance as Horde... the game side draws me towards Horde, but the people side draws towards the Alliance - just the specific people I played with. Currently Alliance again. Ah well.

I don't have as much time on my hands as I'd like these days, it's no longer the times where we'd take days off work for an xpac launch. In any case, I'm focusing on my garrison, followers and tradeskills now. Group stuff will come later so I won't hesitate to shout about it here when that happens
