Mechanically, it's more of 3. But the story and setting are completely standalone.

Have far cry sitting ready to play, but back on rotation so it will have to wait 2 weeks.
hopefully its good enough to keep me out of the pub on a few nights to justify buying the console and game.

ARGH. DAI release date for the UK is tomorrow. I've rearranged Saturday so that there's no gym (sorry, legs day) and minimal tasks for me to do beyond food shopping. I'm planning a 12 hour session with beer, nachos and other delectations. I'll come back with my thoughts on it after.

WoD going good. Got my item level to a decent number, most of my folowers are nearing lvl 100, I've just upgraded my garrison to lvl 3 yesterday... now I'm on the massive treasure hunt. 52 done, at least 150 to go (probably more like 250).

It's a pity my class isn't exactly competitive, though at least I'm not elemental, which loses to hunter pets right now. Sigh, shammies being weak, what else is new?

I played through Deadpool twice recently. I really liked that game. I hadn't really been introduced to Deadpool before it, and I ended up really liking the character after the game.

Typical jumping action game, guns & melee mixed, teleporting & countering.
Able to level up your character and weapons. Pretty smooth character/camera control.

Magic the Gathering <Micropose> 1997.

Super addicting game as I started around Revised and played a bunch when I was younger. Never had the chance to really play with MOX/Lotus combo's. Though I do remember having the chance to buy them, just to expensive at the time and didn't /doh.

It's freeware, unless you buy the expansion for $5 bucks. Get prepared to lose a week or two of your life!

I've been playing the Banner Saga the past couple of days. Absolutely fantastic. It's basically "Epic fantasy book: The Videogame". It's funny how this game apparently was funded for "just" 700,000 dollars, and yet manages to be more engrossing and more atmospheric, with a more appealing artstyle and story than... well, any video game out there?

Seriously, if you like fantasy books you will like this game.

Also, the art style is pretty amazing. I played through it twice, and will certainly pick up the sequel when it turns up.

Finally finished Thief 2 . That last mission got a bit tedious in the end.

The good parts: bigger levels. Vine arrows. more potions means more choices.

THe cons: less level variety. I think the original was better, and I also like the story more.

The cameras and turrets and the Builder's Children all together made this a much more "modern" stealth game. not good or bad per se, but certainly different.
The City levels were fun. The Cathedral level with the attached rooftops is probably one of the biggest single levels I've ever seen.

Next I'm planning to give "Arkham origins" a spin during the holiday break.

My reaction also at first, but apparently both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live have been hit with a hack/DDoS for most of the day. Despite the fact that I might normally be playing on my Xbox on Boxing Day, I've actually been mostly computer based today watching YouTube/shopping for sales, so I had to wait for news to cycle through to find out what BK was complaining about. XD

I plugged my ps4 in last night and couldn't get psn to work, so naturally thought it was the new system until I saw the news. Didn't affect me much though.

I now have my ps4 as well as ps3 plugged in, as the ps3 blu-ray remote won't work with the 4. And I'm still playing Sleeping Dogs.

Although my intro to DA; I went well. Damn but the face creation is amazing. I was a bit drunk and it was late, so 'battle tactics' were off the table as I just ran around stabbing things in the back. Which is pretty much how I completed DA Origins iirc.

I hope the need for something more complex arises soon.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Havnt started a new game since I played Saints Row 4 a while back. Only thing ive been playing is Smash 4 for the 3ds. So easy not to get involved in a plot and just put it on for 20 mins for a few online competitive matches rather than go through some world building exposition.

Still got Dragons Dogma and Watchdogs from last xmas left untouched and got Destiny, GTA 5 and remastered ocarina of time for the 3ds for xmas.

Is there any other Smash fans onsite?

Once my PC is fixed up I'll be getting back to Thief 2. Was up to the last level and need to make sure that no one else hears the words of Karras the words of Karras.

I'm playing Thief 2014 right now. It's good - same vein as Deadly Shadows was. Plays very similarly to Dishonored (sic) except with the classic 'I'm in the dark you can't see me' Thief mechanic. No levels that are on par with Shalebridge Cradle yet but it's early days. Also missing the original voice actor but his replacement is serviceable enough.
