Tried Doom. Not a big of fan of the movement controls. I don't really feel like I have control of my character. I'm playing Metal Gear Solid 5, I've only played the original Metal Gear Solid on the original Playstation before this. It's a little different than I remember back in 1998.

That was a large part of my issue with Doom. Everything felt half-baked. Just wait until you get to the horribly done arbitrary death drop platforming bits.

Okay I finished Shadows of Mordor. Kinda. I did act 3 and got the ending, except their is an act 4 that is helluva boring and repitive and which locks away the true ending until you finish it. I went on youtube, watched the ending and am happier for it.

Doom as in Doom 4 2016? How can you not like the movement? It's so fast and fluid. Just keep moving, always be charging, strafing, mantling and jumping. You should be assaulting to Demons, not the other way around.

MGS5 is very different from every other game in the series. MGS4 took steps towards making MGS a more modern streamlined third person shooter but it's only with MGS5 that Konami perfected the formula. It's probably the tightest game of its kind.

My advice is that you should always be kidnapping soldier and stealing resources, to boost you research. Always be researching new stuff because it's very time consuming.

Should I just kidnap every soldier and his dog, or should I focus on only the better soldiers? I'm like, uhm, 4 % into the game. This is also my first metal gear. I am confused and entirely delighted by what's been going on so far ;)

You should be fultoning EVERYTHING. Put tons of ressources into fulton upgrades and fulton EVEN MORE!

At the start of the game just fulton every single soldier you see. Eventually you'll max out how many soldiers can fit in your various sections/divisions or what ever they are called. That's when you start paying attention to what your binoculars tell you about the enemy soldiers' ranks. At the start you'll begin to only pick people who are rank E or above, then D, then C, etc. Eventually if you're as obsessed as I was, you'll have rank S+++ or what ever those soldiers were called.

EDIT: What'll help you "harvest" soldiers, is to research stealth/stun weapons. There's very good tranq pistols and sniper riffles. You can also research Uzi's and Machine guns that stun soldiers.

Quiet also becomes very useful later on when/if you get her friendship/trust up and she gets the sniper stun riffle.

I'll give you a secret tip as well. The soldiers you don't assign just wait in the brig. For a reason I won't tell you, you should try to keep, say, maybe 50-100 kidnapped soldiers waiting in your brig even though you don't need them, because "reasons". As far as I recall there's no negative effect to doing this. They may get quarrelsome or something but I believe you can control this by having the right kinds of personalities in the right buildings, etc. Which includes the brig.

You keep writing Shadow of Mordor. You do mean Shadow of War, right?

At the rate my friend and I are going, we'll be done next summer. We haven't even gotten to the part where we assault our first keep or start dominating the orcs.

About MGSV and soldiers and your base. When you come back to your base and walk up to soldiers their "loyalty" or "morale" (or whatever it is called) goes back up. Well, to do this base wise, so you don't have to walk up to each and every soldier, pull out your cigar and advance time a bit. This will have the effect of bringing up the morale base wide. This is supposed to hold down soldier fighting and mutiny. Although I think there a still some bad apples that can cause problems.

Wolfenstein by all accounts, unless you're into FPS for the multiplayer.

What Morgoth said. The campaigns in COD are typically always good to great but there's just more of it in Wolfenstein 1 and 2.

The introduction of Quiet, the humming sniper, in MSV made me roll my eyes so hard I could see my brain cringing. At least they're honest in their 'fan service'.

First game is only multiplayer with a bad "campaign" sort of story being played as radio messages.

Titanfall 2 is very good. Very good, inventive campaign. Rock solid multiplayer.

Other games worth going back and checking out on my own list of played/want to play is:

Sunset Overdrive

Master Chief Collection

Halo 5

Ryse

Dead Rising 3 (Don't bother with 4)

Ori and the Blind Forest

Cuphead

Gears of War 4

Forza/Forza Horizon boogaloo.

Rare Replay

Rise of the Tomb Raider

ReCore (I heard they fixed it/greatly improved it, with a year 1 edition)

EDIT: Also remeber that X-box has that backwards compatibility thing going on and according to what I've been hearing, the One X is actually even beefing up the earlier generations of games by adding suped up Anti Aliasing, etc.

I finished Doki Doki Literature Club.

Suffice it to say, a game has not fucked with my head like that for a long, long time. Considering it's a free to play as well, Team Salvato have knocked out a proper winner there.

I got myself Wolfenstein The New Order cheap at Cex. I've mentioned before they I'm not a huge fan of FPS games but this is pretty fun... Just played through the intro and when up a number of years later having been looked after by the pretty nurse and her family...

She needs to breathe through her skin Morgoth. Don't make that dirty

Mordor is very frustrating! Those Mobs are overwhelming me big time and I can’t get a feel for combat(or ugh just walking) at all. The controls are funny.

It seems fun but idk if I have the patience to go much further in.

You need to get the upgrade, I think its called elven light? Than you need to add the bonus point to add fire to everyone effective. Its pretty much one of the only crowd control powers you have. The 2 other options you have are to summon a caragor or graug and your bodyguards to help make it a more even fight. At the least they act as a distraction for the mook orcs so you can focus on a warchief.

After a while in the game I didn't care if it was me vs 3 warchiefs, their entourages and the bases alarm was going off. It just made hunting them down easier if instead they came to me.

Wolfenstein: TNO?

Put the game on easy. It will be more fun. When you say you're stuck, what do you mean stuck? If it's progress I can probably give you hints. I played through the game 1,5 times.

I remember those things annoying me as well and there's not enough ammo around for spray and pray.

I just waited for them to come close and then shotgunned them.

Who did you chose to save in the prologue, Tiste?
