Started my 4th playthrough of Borderlands this morning with Mordecai, the only character i havent beat it with.

Gunslinger FTW. ;)

My copy of Heroes of Might and Magic VI just showed up! (And yes I refuse to call it by the messed up name they've changed it too)

I've only played the Intro and First couple of Necro campaign maps, but now I have to decide if I will continue with it or finish my half done games of The Witcher, Knights of the Old Republic 2 and Dragon Age: Origins before getting stuck into it. And I also have something else... Darksiders I think? waiting for me to play through it as well plus a active subscription to Rift and Heroes of Might and Magic: Kingdoms.

I really need to learn to finish the games i've started rather than just jump on to something new and shiny I think ;)

1. I'd complete one game at a time, tbh. All of those you mentioned are worth it, too.

Gothos, I've just started the HOMM6 second campaign (The Haven one with Anton.) It seems a step up in difficulty from the Necro campaign. Does this trend continue with the same curve. Cos, y'know, I'm kinda lame at strategy games. I'd doing ok, captured the two orc towns but I feel woefully equipped to deal with the attacks straight after.

Anyway, in the meantime I'm playing Dead Space 1, which I love even if the the controls feel a bit... consoley.

Oh, and Bastion.

tbh I wouldn't say the campaigns vary in difficulty that much, it's just that necro's kinda overpowered, and you're now easing into a different playstyle with a different town. I haven't had the time really to play it much lately so I wouldn't know about campaigns other than Necro and Sanctuary (plus the ending campaign of course), but you have to pretty much use your units and hero to their fullest. Takes a moment to adjust, but I wouldn't say this game is particularly hard.

Picked up Geneforge 1-5 on Steam for £13, absolutely stupidly good deal. Starting a marathon, think that's me set for the rest of the year.

playing ARKHAM CITY....was 5% done and was finding it extraordinarily hard with section after section of multiple tough, tough enemies. I died like a hundred times in the first 3 or four big fights...

then my girlfriend pointed out that I had accidentally set it to HARD (I thought I'd set it to NORMAL)....so I had to start all over...but I was aware of the stuff I did so it didn't take long to get back where I was, but it was still annoying to have to redo it.

The game itself is epic and fucking awesome so far. Even better than the first.

I was going to get either Forza 4 or MW3, now I'm thinking Arkham City should be my next pick up.

Basically take everything you loved about ASYLUM...but blow the world wide open so you are able to do all kinds of stuff you couldn't do before. Constant contact with Alfred, and a jack into the enemy radio's helps move the missions along, but you still get plenty of opportunity for side missions.

I have yet to run into anything in it that didn't make me very glad to be playing it. The game also came with codes for free NIGHTWING and CATWOMAN expansions from the XBox store.

And by the time i get tired of playing Skyrim, sometime next year, City should be down in price.

It does indeed. I was still able to move forward in the narrative, but VERY slowly as each battle that had more than 4 guys was difficult even countering everything. So even a small fight outside of a mission location with random thugs was difficult.

You will be glad to hear then that the opening of CITY is MUCH shorter, a short CGI cutscene, a short walk as Bruce Wayne into Arkham city itself, a chair you have to woble out of and then you start fighting.

Finished the campaign mode in COD Black Ops last weekend. Surprisingly good story, all though I saw the twist coming a mile away. Loved the silly Hollywood ending.

Been playing RAGE when ever I have time all week. Loving the shit out of the gameplay, the story... meh.

Next up is Portal 2.

installed crusader Kings again at the beginning of the week, since the sequel's in beta now.

now I want my life back. the game sucked me in (again) like there's no tomorrow.
