It represents the transition of ownership of the girl's boobs from her father to her husband.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

My response was:

"...also, just re-reading what you said, Jess...you think the bride should be dressed revealingly???"

She thought I was serious, and lengthily apologised for the misunderstanding. Should I a ) accept her apology with remonstrance that she should not do it again, or b ) explain that I was joking/teasing and didn't actually think that's what she meant?

The only problem I foresee with option a) is that she will again take me super seriously, and it's no fun joking with someone who doesn't get it.

...methinks I'm putting waaay too much thought into this :)

Making a bed with a hyper cat around might be one of the most difficult tasks to accomplish in the world.

ENGLEBERT HUMPERDINK IS THE UK EUROVISION PERFORMER!!! More proof that Europe is several decades behind the rest of the world when it comes to popular music. They should have paid whatever Tom Jones was asking for - it would have been less embarrassing...

Come on, UK. You can do better than this.

I'm reading on extra-terrestrial land ownership and this quote is awesome:

Quote

Many states and countries have corollaries to their real estate and property laws to prevent wanton claiming of new-found lands, that state that a simple claim to the territory is not enough; the claimant must also demonstrate "intent to occupy," something that, at this time, is obviously difficult to do with the Moon or any other celestial body.

Even Better!

Quote

Adam Ismail, Mustafa Khalil and Abdullah al-Umari, three men from Yemen, sued NASA for invading Mars. They claim that they "inherited the planet from our ancestors 3,000 years ago".[15] They based their argument on mythologies of the Himyaritic and Sabaean civilizations that existed several thousand years B.C.E[16]

A buddy of mine's claim to fame is that he's fragged Asia Carrera in Unreal Tournament. What does it say of me that I think that's quite cool?
