I suppose, we'll have to agree to disagree here. I enjoy Vengy's rants.... I reckon you weren't around during the heyday of maccy's playing days, then?

and I second the "smooth" motion.

I'm a sooth operataaaaaaaa. Smooooooth operataaaaaaaa.

One thing I think is messing us up... is the "If the scum know each other "stuff. I normally don't like to call for inno reveals this early, but if Ampleas was vigged. Shouldn't the vig come forward and let us know? This game is different than most. In a normal game the vig would want to stay hidden because as soon as he reveals and isn't countered he is CI. He then has to be night killed. In this game, the vig could come forward, and even if he is night killed, the scum have a chance at hitting their collar partner and thus killing themselves. In addition, it would save us a ton of speculating on if the killers know each other. We could get a solid piece of evidence. That the Killers( if there are more than 1 remaining) Can in fact talk to each other. If no vig comes forward, we can assume that the killers can't talk to each other...which would lead me to believe that there are more than one killers remaining.

Now, if the vig has more than one kill, or if he has additional powers, by all means. Stay silent. This speculation was for a 1 shot town vig that took out ampleas and is in effect a RI at this point.

I am sure there will be a ton of 'OMG HE MUST BE SCUM!! Never ask for inno reveal!!" and thats fine. Whateva, I will operate myself smoothly out of the situation. But, if you were a one shot vig and you took out amp, I think it would be towns best interests to come clean. It would give us concrete information that we are seriously lacking at the moment.

It's in theory a good idea but in practice it will never happen and you'll probably get excoriated for it, Liosan. People hate it when others ask for reveals, I'm sure you know this, and they will probably focus on it for the remainder of the game. Even if you die and come up inno, there's gonna be talk about you being a symp, etc.

That said, even if you aren't hated on for it, I doubt the vig will reveal. Even if it's a killer that isn't worried about being killed off for some reason. Just too much speculation with that kind of player in the open. It makes them a good lynch.

I find it a bit odd that with supposedly most abilities relating to the collars, we seem to have had the expected number of activations (I'm assuming the little line about a light turning on = activation). I would've thought the abilities would either activate extra ones or prevent their activation. Then again, it could just be blind luck that they didn't affect anything last night, or there might not be many roles at all.

What?!?!?

They may have been affected last night but it take a full day and night for us to see the consequences! We wouldn't see an effect immediately.

Here, ladies and gentlemen, are Ampelas and Omtose. Their lives were cut short, but may we remember them forever.

Rules:

All the usual stuff applies.
You may not self-vote.

SPECIAL RULE, SPECIAL RULE, SPECIAL RULE, READ THIS NAO AND NEVER FORGET IT:

In Battle Royale, each and every single alt has an explosive collar, just like in the movie.
Each player is connected by the collar to another player. You do not know who that player is.
Scum can be connected to innos and vice versa.

If the collar is activated, you die automatically after a full day and night cycle has ended (so if the collar is activated during night 1, you live for day 2, then for the night 2, then die at the end of night 2).
If your collar is activated as the result of a lynch, you die at the end of the next day.

Collars are activated at the following times:

* whenever someone is lynched, his or her connected partner's collar is activated.
* whenever someone is NKed, his or her connected partner's collar is activated.
* whenever a role activates a player's collar directly.
* whenever someone dies as the result of an activated collar, his or her partner's collar is activated.
* whenever someone's collar is deactivated, his or her connected partner's collar is activated.

Most roles in the game deal with collars.
BPs do not protect against exploding collars.

Final notes:
This game is intended to be bloody and as such, it can be over very quickly. As such, we'd advise to not waste time on frivolities.

We have a lot of new/ relatively new players, decent behaviour would be appreciated.

Sorrit is here. I'm wondering if the buddy system goes around in one big circle or several smaller circles. Or, mother of god, can two people have the same collar buddy?!

Ok, I am here with time to finally put on the full mod-god gear. (MGG)

The opening scene has been posted. :unworthy:

P.S. There are not any clues in the scenes for this game.

Firstly Sorrit with the circle. Then the potential signal to Ampelas and now this below when it clearly states that there are no clues in scenes AND the rules stating how collars work.

ok, well I am off for a couple functions, then it's bed and Night times out at around 4am my time. Not sure who to vote for at this point. I don't really want to place my vote on Sorrit... that will make it a train theat, at this point may not be recovered from...and I don't want to do that with 15 hrs left. But there really has been little talk of anyone else. Just useless banter and speculation. Since it seems my idea of a vig reveal hasn't gone over too well...I am going to think about it. I will be back, between events to place a final vote. If nothing has happened I will likely vote for Sorrit.

Well, I don't see much merit for voting Soritt, aside of some early mechanics misunderstandings.

in any case, I have to go to work. I'll be bac in about 6 hours.

Gaylan Lord's Last 7 posts. All fluff, no substance. ( one instance of a train analysis.. but then no vote to follow it up) Like he is waiting for something to happen. He is adding nothing to the game at this point. Since he said he will be back in a few hours, I know we won't vote him off w/o a defense sooooo.

remove vote

Vote Gaylan lord.

for being a post padder and adding nothing to the game.

No, the silver lining is that we managed to speed-lynch Vengeance (again) while he was offline, thereby avoiding a potential slur-filled diatribe as he insulted all of our mothers.

so, you deprive us of such entertainment, and you say it's a GOOD thing?

what manner of heresy is this?

Tellan, I think you are playing a little naively. No one realistically expects to hit scum day one. It's maybe a little bit silly to talk about how the person who you are voting for is probably innocent, but I don't think anyone was convinced Omtose was scum.

Lio, if you are scum, you're fucking smooth... You almost made me remove my vote, but once again you've targeted someone else while mentioning how you think I am scummy.

again with the smoothness? oh, noes!!!

following my own methodology, I loked at Omtose's train. it was Ruse's 4th vote that made the momentum inevitable. I'd be inclined to look there for scum.
my righteous anger is blunted, however, by the fact that Ruse sounds like he's on his deathbed in that post.

hmmmm.......

Liosan and HP have been displaying mutual distrust since day 1. This casts doubt that they are working together, however they may just be extremely devious. Another option would be that scum know their team members. In both cases, drawing attention to each other seems a strange -- and unlikely -- strategy to adopt.

but neither lio's case on HP or HPs case on lio has any real merrit and has attracted no real interest from anyone else, they just seem a little too much at odds for me...admitidly its a hunch, but just something i thought id share

so what do you think about gaylan lord and sorrit both saying something about supporting a motion? also gaylan lord's slight defence for sorrit...it could just be because he genuinly feels sorrit is hard done by, or they are on the same team....

Hmmmmm...... First post and throwing some accusations on there. You've been quiet. From the little talking between people it's hard to assume that they are on the same team. What is your modus operandi in speaking about your hunch? Why throw this tidbit out at this time.

Do you mean that they both supported the first day lynch? That's what I gathered from those comments. The defense seems odd. The post defending Sorrit doesn't seem suspect at first, but it's possible that there is some symping going on.
I'll check some of the early posts, maybe there is something there. Then again, if all we have to work with is first day posts, then this may be more difficult than it would be later in the game. It's worth a try.
